Review: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Captivating! (+Swatches!)

Perfect Peachy Blush!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Captivating
During the Sephora V.I.B Sale I picked up the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Captivating and right off the bat I'll say I love it! It retails for $26 so getting it on sale was needed haha. I love the Tarte Blushes because like the name states they last 12 hours..., sometimes even more! The formula is everything you want in a blush: blendable, pigmented and longwearing.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Captivating
The blush is a beautiful matte warm peach! I lightly tap my brush into the blush and I get just the right amount to coat my cheeks. A little goes a long way but even if you put too much on you can easily blend it which is another thing I love about the Tarte Blushes! This color is the definition of Spring and Summer. It warms up and brightens your face at the same time... weird, I know haha.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Captivating
I'm a huge fan of the packaging because it's simple yet sleek! It's super easy to store away and since it has a mirror it's ideal for travel. Look at that swatch....isn't the color gorgeous!?  :-D

Bottom line: This blush is so good! I love how true of a peach shade it is, no hints of pink just peach which is exactly what I was looking for. It's pretty pricey originally but with the discount it's totally worth it! This blush will most likely last a lifetime and that's alright with me. :-)

Dollar Tree Haul!

Makeup Finds!

Dollar Tree Haul
Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share a mini haul of the goodies that I picked up at my local Dollar Tree. They had tons of great things to choose from and when it's only $1 you want it all! haha. I had to enable my self control and only ended up with these five items. I was so excited to see the brands that I love like Milani and Maybelline. Not to mention how awesome it was to find Essie for only one dollar.
Make sure to check out your Dollar Tree to see what items you can find! :-)

Review: Mac Viva Glam Miley Cyrus! (Lipstick & Lipglass!)

Great Color + Great Cause!

Mac Viva Glam Miley Cyrus! (Lipstick & Lipglass!)
I'm always so tempted to purchase the Viva Glam lippies because I love the fact that every cent goes toward helping people with HIV/AIDS! Sometimes the colors are pretty out there but this time around Miley Cyrus released a gorgeous shade of pink! The lipstick retails for $16 and the lipglass is $15. I won't say I'm the biggest Miley fan but the color is so stunning! Gotta give the girl some props ;-) haha.
Mac Viva Glam Miley Cyrus! (Lipstick & Lipglass!)
Here's what the color looks like! It's pretty much a bright fuchsia pink but not neon pink so it's very wearable! I'm sure it's a dupable color but I love the amplified finish! It also looks freaking amazing with the lipglass! I'm so obsessed with the combo.
Mac Viva Glam Miley Cyrus! (Lipstick & Lipglass!)
The lipglass takes it to a whole 'notha level! I love the shine and the sparkle if gives your lips. Plus... your lips look extra juicy which is always a good thing haha ;-) The lipglass has a combination of pink and blue shimmers... you can't even feel'em. It adds some dimension and together it looks so cool!

I highly recommend this lip combo! Even though you can find a similar shade at the drugstore it feels nice to support a good cause. Simple eye makeup and this combo on your lips? Flawless! :-)

Must Haves: Pur Minerals Secret Crush Eyeshadow Palette!

Rose Gold Galore!

Pur Minerals Secret Crush Palette
Pur Minerals is a completely new brand to me but I'm so happy I heard about it because this palette is lovely! I saw a video review on the this palette a few months ago and instantly fell in love with the colors! The Pur Minerals Secret Crush Palette retails for $32 and can be found at Ulta. I patiently waited for a 20% off Ulta coupon and managed to get it for less but the original price isn't bad at all.
Pur Minerals Secret Crush Palette

I adore the color scheme of this palette! The four middle shades are everything! The formula of these shadows is pretty thin yet still silky and pigmented which I love! You can definetely build up the colors without any fallout. At first I thought it was missing a neutral transition shade but I found that using the brown shade towards the end lightly was just fine. The packaging is amazing too! Rose gold plus a nice size mirror... no complaints on packaging!
Pur Minerals Secret Crush Palette
These are the color names, so cute btw! I've used all the shades in the palette and I'm impressed with each one. They are so smooth and buttery! The standout shade for me is the one called Passion (third shade from L to R). It's the most rosiest rose gold shade I've ever seen! It looks amazing all over the lid. Here are the swatches *woohoo!* ;-D
Pur Minerals Secret Crush Palette
These shades work so well together! I'm so impressed and because of that I decided to get the Soul Mattes Palette. I can't wait to get that one in the mail!
Here's a simple look I came up with;
Pur Minerals Secret Crush Eyeshadow Palette
Pur Minerals Secret Crush Eyeshadow Palette
I did a similar look on my beautiful friend! The rose gold looks awesome against her skintone!

This palette is a total must have! I'm so in love... very well played Pur Minerals because I have a crush on this palette haha. Make sure to give it a try if you're a fan of these shades because it's simply amazing! :-)

Best Drugstore Brow Pomade & Brush Combo!

Keep Your Brow Game Strong!

Best Drugstore Brow Pomade & Brush Combo
Today I have a pretty exciting post for you guys! My brows are a work in progress but I recently discovered the best drugstore combo that helps my brows look amazing! (on fleek as some may say! haha) I love the look of a thicker and more defined brow. With that said since I don't necessarily need to draw my entire brow from scratch I was looking for a product that would fill in my gaps and give definition. A good brow brush is also key and today I'm super excited to share with you the stars of my brow routine! :-)
Best Drugstore Brow Pomade & Brush Combo
First off we have the E.L.F Studio Eyebrow Duo Brush which is only $3 guys! It's a new release from E.L.F and it's awesome! I've been searching for a duo brush like this one for a while and once I saw it on their site I was like "SOLD!" haha. Their studio line brushes are must haves and this one is no different. The spoolie end is so good! It's nice and sturdy and quickly puts those brow hairs in place. The angled side is exactly what I was looking for. It's small enough to fill in every nook and cranny! It can also double up as a liner brush!
Best Drugstore Brow Pomade & Brush Combo
This is the NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade in Espresso! It's only $7 and totally worth it. There's five shades to choose from, I choose Espresso which is more of a deep brown and it's the perfect shade for me. I was so scared of pomades before but this is the most simple product to use for your brows. A little goes on a long way and it's pretty pigmented but the spoolie makes everything look even. I just dip the angled side and use the cap to take of the excess. My brows are done in like 2 mins! Once it's on it stays put all day which I love!
Here's a comparison of using a brow pencil and the brow pomade. I wasn't the best with the pencil to begin with but I find the brow pomade is way easier to use!
Best Drugstore Brow Pomade & Brush Combo
You can find the brush on the E.L.F Website and the pomade on the NYX Website or Ulta. For a total of $10 your brows will go from 0 to 100... real quick (I had to! haha) I hope this post was helpful and if you've tried this combo leave me comment down below with your thoughts! :-)

Sephora V.I.B Sale Haul 2015!

My Sephora Haul! :-)

My Sephora VIB Sale shopping has come to an end (*sigh*) so I decided to quickly show you my haul! :-) Mostly everything was on my wishlist, just one thing managed to sneak up on me and I couldn't resist the discount haha. I'm so excited about all these goodies so stay tuned for some reviews and looks in the near future!
The item that I wasn't originally eyeing but I ended up purchasing was the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette. All my recent palette buys have been completely on the neutral side so I just needed to quench my thirst for color haha. I saw some amazing reviews and honestly it won't be one I use everyday but it will definetely get my creative juices flowing! I can't wait to use it! :-)
I ended up with two Too Faced Melted Lipsticks, Melted Jelly Donut which is a new color from the original line and Melted Jelly from the new Metal line! If you've followed my blog for a bit you'd know I'm addicted to these Melted Lipsticks! They are everything! The Metal one seemed so cool so I'm super excited to try that one.
Urban Decay released their Sheer Revolution Lipsticks so I decided to try Ladyflower! I'm one who loves a bold lippie but for the Spring/Summer I wanted to try something more on the light side so we'll see. I also picked up another Sephora Luster Matte Long-wear Lip Color in a new shade called Rose Luster. It's a gorgeous color! Can't wait to wear it!
Last but not least I purchased the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Captivating... in love! It's the perfect true peach shade! So happy to own it now :-D

So that's everything I hauled! I'd love to know what things did you pick up. Leave me a comment down below! :-)

Review: Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua!

...And Another One!

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua
When it comes to liquid lipsticks this formula is one of the best! My melted collection is growing so fast and I ain't mad about it haha. Today I have swatches and thoughts about Melted Chihuahua to share with you! Let's start off with the name... Chihuahua?! There's something morbid about that name but the color is stunning nonetheless. Here's the run down about price and availability: $21. sold at Toofaced.com, Ulta & Sephora! The price is totally worth it but I also recommend waiting for sale like the VIB that's coming up or the 20% off Ulta coupons that are circulating! :-)
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua
I love the sponge tip applicator, it's so comfy on your lips and always applies the perfect amount!
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua
This shade is described as being a dusty mauve which I would have to disagree with. The actual lipstick color doesn't match the color of the tube at all. To be honest I was a bit bummed at first because I was hoping for that perfect mauve shade for everyday wear. But after giving it a chance I've grown to really like this color! I'd say its more of a peachy nude on me which I don't own too many of. I never thought it would  be flattering on me but I'm happy to have this one! :-)
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua
Here's what the color looks like on. I love the formula because it's so long wearing. This color will be a great one for everyday or wearing to work!

Bottom line: Even though the color wasn't what I expected I still like it! The formula is just the best so I would recommend the entire line! They recently released the new melted metallic line which is so peculiar. I think I might pick up one or two to test out! ;-)

LBD Spring Style Challenge!

Spring Inspired!

Today I have a very exciting post for you guys! I was invited to participate in the Dailylook LBD Spring Style Challenge! The idea was to choose a little black dress as the main piece of the perfect spring look. There's a beautiful selection on the Dailylook site so choosing one was definitely a challenge haha. But after careful deliberation I chose my LBD and some awesome pieces to pair with it, creating my ideal outfit for Spring!
I'm from Puerto Rico so the idea behind my outfit was one I would wear for a night out in the island!  The BB Dakota Simi Dress is the perfect length for the Spring season... gotta show off your legs. A kimono is ideal because if you're planning on dancing the night away near the beach it may get chilly so the Glamorous Floral Velvet Devore Kimono is perfect to keep you warm. Booties are always on trend and I love the color of these Circus By Sam Eldelman Talon Booties! It brings out the red in the kimono and it's the best match for the Dailylook Classic Vegan Leather Saddle Purse! On a night out all you need is your phone, cash and lipstick (a sexy red one!)  and that would fit perfectly in that bag. I kept the accessories simple and dainty :-)
*sigh* This outfit makes me want to take a trip to the island to visit my friends! I'm now in Utah and let me tell you... the weather doesn't compare! haha.
I love the blend of colors and texture in this outfit! I would love to know how would you style your LBD, leave me a comment down below! :-)

Time For Some Color!

Top 5 Spring and Summer Drugstore Blushes
Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons when it comes to blush! I feel like you get a free pass to pack it on during this time of year haha. With a tan peachy and coral blushes are the best to wear! Today I have five drugstore blushes that I love to reconnect with during these months. All are very affordable, no more than $8! Lets go! :-)
Top 5 Spring and Summer Drugstore Blushes
I have a few different brands to share with you today, all very accessible! I would recommend each line of blushes overall because for the price they are amazing! Here are the swatches;
Top 5 Spring and Summer Drugstore Blushes
*City Color Cosmetics Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon- this blush is fantastic! The shade is a great blend of peach and coral and it gives your cheeks life! It's only $4.99 (amazing for the size of it!)
*NYX Powder Blush in Rose Garden-  I love the NYX Powder blushes, one of my faves! I don't care too much for their new HD blushes so I recommend to pass on those and stick with these. Rose Garden is a beautiful peachy pink with a golden shimmer, stunning! It's very long wearing and blends so easily. It retails for $5.
*Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso- this color is perfect on tan skin! Since it's baked it leaves the prettiest sheen on your cheeks, no need for highlight. This is the priciest of the bunch, $8.99, but totally worth it! Plus that gold packaging is... everything!
*E.L.F Studio Blush in Candid Coral-  E.L.F has a special place in my heart because their products are so affordable and so good! Candid Coral is a very pretty color, lighter than the rest but leaves your cheeks glowing. I love E.L.F packaging and the price is unbeatable, just $3!
*Jordana Powder Blush in Peach Blossom-  if you're looking for a silky, smooth blush this is the one for you! I love this formulation and this color is so sweet! For only $2.49 you get an amazing product! You can find these at Walgreens and Kmart.

I hope this post was helpful! These are my top five peachy/coral blushes that I love to use during these warmer months. I love this color family and with a bright coral lip? I'm done! :-)

Sephora V.I.B Sale Wishlist!

My Wishlist!

It's that time of year again! The V.I.B sale starts this Sunday April 12th for VIB Rouge and ends on April 21st! That's plenty of time for my wishlist to change (or grow! haha) but for the most part these are the items that I'm lusting over at the moment. I probably won't end up with all of them because I am trying to budget.
You might notice a theme, lots of blushes and lippies! Those are my favorite makeup products so it's only right to take advantage of a sale to try out some new ones! :-)
I recently took advantage of a 20% off sale Ulta had so I got a few palettes I was eyeing which is why you don't see any here. Sephora is offering 15% off which is still pretty good so I can't wait for Sunday! What items are on your wishlist? Leave me a comment down below! :-)

Review: Wet n Wild Fergie To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard!

Highlight For Days!

Wet n Wild Fergie To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard
Highlight is the icing on the cake! A little shimmer here... a little over there and you go from simple to glam! I'm pretty excited to have a new addition to my highlighter collection because the color is so stunning! Wet n Wild released a new shade to their Shimmer Palette line called Hollywood Boulevard. It's only $4-$5 at the drugstore which is a bargain for the amount of product you get! With 11.3g of product you will never be shimmer free haha.
Wet n Wild Fergie To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard
This is a baked product which I'm a fan of because it can be used wet or dry. This shade is a mixture of  three colors: gold, bronzer and pink. When you swirl it all together it ends up looking like a gorgeous champagne color, perfect for all skintones.
Wet n Wild Fergie To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard
Here's a closeup! Since it's baked the veining will vary from product to product.
Wet n Wild Fergie To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Hollywood Boulevard
This is what it looks like swirled. My favorite way of applying it is right after I apply my foundation while it's still wet so it adheres better. It also adds a metallic finish to it which is gorgeous! The quality of this powder is awesome, no glitter chunks at all.

Bottom line: I really enjoy this highlight! It definitely compares to higher end ones and honestly why spend $40+ on a highlight when the drugstore alternatives are just as good for less? Highlight is not something I use everyday so I don't feel the need to invest in one anytime soon. This is a great value and Wet n Wild Fergie has 2 other colors within the line which I'm wanting to try out in the future! Can't wait to use it when the sun is beaming! :-)

Dupe Alert: Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita! (Mostly Drugstore!)

Stay On Trend For Less!

Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
This lippie you see right here was playing hard to get for the longest time! haha. About a month ago I received an email alert letting me know that the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita was back in stock so I ordered it right then and there. Part of me purchased it with fear of it being out of stock forever (lol) and the other part of me wanted it because I know this formula is amazing plus the color is so beautiful too! It does retail for $20 which is pretty pricey so I decided to look through my collection and find some similar colors to share with you! :-)
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Here's what the original looks like! It's described as a dusty rose which is kinda accurate. I find that my tube leans more brown which brings me to something I read online. I read rumors of a "Lolita II" releasing in the near future with more mauve tones. It seems like when Lolita first released it was more on the mauve side. Once it sold out the new batch leaned more brown like the one I own. The color is gorgeous nonetheless and within the dupes I have a a great mixture of shades that are in the same color family just in case you prefer the more mauve-y ones or brown tones.
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
The dupes I have today are mostly drugstore which is awesome because those won't cost you more than $8! The formulas are different which is the awesome thing about a dupe because if a matte finish isn't your thing I have a few cream finishes that you may like.
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
I have a total of five alternatives today, let's start off with the first one! I have a Jordana Easyliner in the shade Tawny, a cult favorite because it pairs well with so many lippies! The best part? It's less than $3.
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Next up we have another Jordana product, one of their cream lipsticks in Grape! It's very hydrating, not a matte finish like the original but your lips will love your for that haha. It has more mauve tones and also retails for less than $3. Mac Twig lipstick is also a great alternative! It's a satin finish, so comfortable on and color is pretty darn close! It's the only non-drugstore dupe but it's still more affordable than Lolita! The next two are both from Maybelline which hands down is one of my favorite lipstick brands. The first one is a cream lipstick called Crazy For Coffee, definetely more brown than the rest but such a stunning color, one of my faves! Lastly I have Touch Of Spice which is part of their matte line. This is the most similar in formulation. The color is simply amazing too!
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Here are all the colors swatches!
*Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
*Jordana Easyliner For Lips in Tawny
*Jordana Lipstick in Grape
*Mac Lipstick in Twig
*Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Crazy For Coffee
*Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lipstick in Touch Of Spice

I hope you found today's post helpful! Lolita is definetely worth all the hype, from the color to the lasting power. But if you're able to get the look for less why not? Do you have any Lolita dupes of your own? Leave me a comment down below! :-)

Unbeatable Prices!

Shopmissa.com
Today I have a very exciting post for those of you who love to be styling on a budget! :-) Aside from makeup I love accessories! Earrings, necklaces, bracelets... you name it and I love it! I came across a website called ShopMissA and I couldn't believe that everthing and yes I mean EVERYTHING is only $1! The selection is so extensive...pretty amazing!
Shopmissa.com
I decided to order a few things and I am so pleased with my purchase! I was a bit skeptical at first, I mean "you get what you pay for" was on repeat in my head. But I must say the quality of these pieces is really good! For those of you (like me) that love costume jewlery that you can switch up on the daily this site is perfect. Everything came packaged so well and pretty quick too. Shipping is also very affordable, only $3.95 and it's free with an order of $35 or more.
Shopmissa.com
I've seen these pieces run for $5+ at other retailers so the prices on the site are unbeatable. All the pieces look pricier than what they are which is exactly what I look for.
Shopmissa.com
You can find all the current trends on the site, like the "ear jacket" for instance. I love this style, it looks pretty cool on and they have tons of choices!
Shopmissa.com

Must Haves: E.L.F Studio Ultimate Kabuki Brush!

The Only Brush You Need!

 E.L.F Studio Ultimate Kabuki Brush
If you've been looking for an amazing, do it all brush look no further! Eyes Lips Face or E.L.F as we all know and love came out with a fantastic brush called the Studio Ultimate Kabuki Brush and it gets every job done haha. It retails for $10 which is not bad at all for the quality of this brush! It's tightly packed so you don't have to worry about it falling apart and it's also pretty dense!
 E.L.F Studio Ultimate Kabuki Brush
It kinda reminds me of a few of their powder brushes put together but softer! It's a pretty large brush but I find that very appealing. Makes applying foundation, powder, blush, contour, etc a breeze! I use it the most in cases where I go overboard with blush or bronzer, it's the best brush to blend with!
 E.L.F Studio Ultimate Kabuki Brush
The size is definitely a plus for me. I've seen some higher end brushes identical to this one being sold for triple the price so the value of this brush is spot on.
 E.L.F Studio Ultimate Kabuki Brush
I included this pic just so you can really see how large this brush is. It feels sturdier than the studio other brushes which explains the higher price but trust me when I say it's totally worth it! :-)
