Must Haves: CoverGirl Colorlicious Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams!

Favorite Jumbo Lippies!

CoverGirl Colorlicious Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams
I think I found the perfect jumbo lippie... thus far! :-) I've tried so many and never truly loved one as much as I do the NEW CoverGirl Colorlicious Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams! They retail for about $7 depending on where you go. There's a few colors in the line, all really beautiful and haul worthy! I chose two out of the bunch and I'm obsessed with the formula. But let's start of with the basics shall we?
CoverGirl Colorlicious Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams
The packaging is awesome! The color of the tube matches the product. It's a twist up lippie with no fragrance. Simple but effective. ;-)
CoverGirl Colorlicious Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams
The word cream is the best way to describe these! They are so creamy and smooth, a dream to put on. The color payoff is also quite nice! The aren't too bold but just enough color to notice. They are also very comfortable to wear. I don't find them to add or take any moisture from your lips. They are a satin finish and impressively long wearing!
CoverGirl Colorlicious Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams
Here are the swatches! These colors are perfect for this time of year. I've been wearing them with simple makeup and it adds the perfect amount of color to my look! Have you been eyeing these? If so I highly recommend them! :-)

Review: NYX Intense Butter Glosses! (Napoleon, Funnel Delight, Spice Cake & Toasted Marshmallow!

Talk About Intense!

NYX Intense Butter Glosses
Let me start off by saying the name is so fitting! haha. When NYX said intense they weren't kidding! I'm obsessed with the original butter glosses so I was very intrigued by these when they initially released. They retail for $6 which is a great price! There's many colors to choose from so if you like bold, opaque colors these may be for you!
NYX Intense Butter Glosses
The applicator is key with this lippie. It's flat on both side to make it easy to apply your gloss evenly. Just close your lips over it and swipe and wahlaaa! I'm a fan because it's functional.
NYX Intense Butter Glosses
Here are the colors, just one swipe across! I love a bold lip but the formula has to be done right. In this case I think it missed the mark. Even though the color payoff is out of this world, it's so intense that any mistake is magnified to the extreme. You will need a lip liner to make sure it looks put together, otherwise it will end up looking like a hot mess. Since it's a gloss it transfers and doesn't last all day. It's comfortable on the lips, just a tad on the thicker side for my liking. Let's get into swatches:
NYX Intense Butter Glosses
*Napoleon: a bright warm pink, great shade! It's a lovely shade of pink that would be great for this time of year.
*Funnel Delight: a super bright hot pink... love the color! It makes your lips look very plump which is always a plus in my book ;-)
NYX Intense Butter Glosses
*Spice Cake: a deep plum which is one of my faves! This shade is perfection for fall! I've worn this one the most.
*Toasted Marshmallow: a gorgeous deep mauve-purple. Another great shade because it's pretty unique!

Bottom line: I would've loved the glosses if they were slightly tweaked. I think these colors would've been better off being a stain because as a gloss it requires a lot of maintenance. I love the shades and how juicy they make your lips look but I want something to last and these are not long wearing. Again, this is just my personal taste. If you're in the market for a super duper pigmented gloss these are a great choice and the price is unbeatable! :-)

Review: Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion in 20M!

Luminous & Bronzed!

Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion in 20M
Before this purchase I don't think I owned anything from Make Up For Ever... so I was pretty excited about this bronzer! :-) I was intrigued about the gel-powder formula because it's said to look like second skin and to be waterproof... pretty awesome huh?! It retails for $36 and the color selection is pretty good. There's mattes and shimmers, I definitely appreciate the variety!
Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion in 20M
This bronzer was almost too pretty to use...almost! ;-) I love the wave design!
Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion in 20M
This color is described as a natural matte sand shade, ideal for medium skintone. It's a nice neutral, not too cool and not too warm which is exactly what I was looking for. It's matte but it still leaves a sheen on your skin, really pretty!
My issue with this bronzer is that it's so difficult to apply. There's a recommended brush that you should use with it but c'mon...it's 32! Bye Felicia! haha. It feels like the product is so tightly packed making it a struggle to pick up product. I've been using a powder brush to apply it and it takes some building up. Once it's on the skin it's stunning though! Your skin looks sun-kissed, really natural!

Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion in 20M
Here's a swatch of the bronzer. This took a few swipes to get the swatch to be visible.

Bottom line: I wish I could give this bronzer an A+ but it's so hard to work with. The color is spot on for me but it's pretty time consuming to try to get it on your skin. Sure... I can splurge on the brush but nobody wants to purchase a brush for almost the same price as the bronzer. I'll be trying out other brushes to see what works because the formula itself is worth it! :-)

Review: Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Ladyflower!

New Urban Decay Formula!

Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Ladyflower
I was pretty curious about the NEW Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipsticks so I decided to quench my makeup thirst and pick up the shade Ladyflower! :-) I believe this shade was part of a limited edition kit in mini form so I was super excited to see it again! These sheer revolution lipsticks retail for $22 but I managed to haul this during the V.I.B Sale. They are said to be a glossy, sheer creamy formula. I'm not sure what Urban Decay's definition of sheer is because this one is really pigmented haha but overall I love this formula!
Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Ladyflower
The packaging is spectacular! I love the lilac tint it has and as always it feels expensive ;-)
Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Ladyflower
The formula is very high shine which is awesome because your lips end up looking so juicy! Its very comfortable on. The pigmentation is great and the lipstick stays put for a good 4 hours. Even though it's glossy it's not a thin, easy-to-transfer formula. It stays on super well!
Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Ladyflower
Here is what ladyflower looks like on... isn't it such a pretty pink?! It's a beautiful rosey pink, great for everyday wear! I'm completely in love with this shade, I just think it's perfection!

Bottom line: This lippie was a hit! I love the formula and this color is gorgeous. I'm eyeing a few other colors. If you want color but not something too bold this formula would be great for you. MFR approved! :-)

Swatches: ColourPop Super Shock Shadows in Nillionaire & Coconut! (Summer Collection!)

New From ColourPop!

ColourPop Super Shock Shadows in Nillionaire & Coconut
Hello my loves! It's been a while since I sat down to write a post and I was craving it so bad haha. My life has been a little hectic with family flying in, baby shower planning, getting our new home ready for move in... and many other blessings! :-) Just wanted to quickly give you guys an update just in case I don't post as often as I'd like.
Let's get into today's post which I'm super stoked about! ColourPop released their summer collection and I ordered two of their new Super Shock Shadows. If you haven't heard about ColourPop they are such cool brand and very affordable! Definetely one of my favorite brands at the moment.
ColourPop Super Shock Shadows in Nillionaire & Coconut
I ordered Nillionaire and Coconut and these are some stunning shades! Coconut is a little out of my comfort zone but that's what I love about ColourPop... for only $5 you try new things and it won't leave you broke haha.
ColourPop Super Shock Shadows in Nillionaire & Coconut
Nillionaire is a golden-bronze shade, great neutral but what makes it fun is the multicolored glitters it has. I wore this color and I'm glad to report that the glitters stay put and the overall shadow lasts all day long! If you love metallic shades Coconut is a must have! It's so smooth, no glitters and just so rich in pigment... pretty much flawless! haha. It would make an amazing lid shade for a blue smokey eye, can't wait to play with it more.
ColourPop Super Shock Shadows in Nillionaire & Coconut
Here's a look I did wearing Nillionaire all over the lid and some warm matte shades in the crease from a palette I'll be reviewing soon ;-)

Bottom line:  These shadows are lovely and fun for the summer time! You can't go wrong for only $5. Hope these swatches were helpful! :-)

Must Haves: Sephora Collection Colorful Blushes! ( + Sale Alert!)

Less Than $10!

Sephora Collection Colorful Blushes
If you haven't stopped by the Sephora.com sale section make sure to do so because there's some great products on there! Sephora recently repackaged their Colorful Blushes and the ones in the original packaging have been popping up on sale for only $7 each. That's a pretty amazing price! They do show up sporadically so make sure to check back every once in a while to catch them on a great deal.
Sephora Collection Colorful Blushes
These are the three shades that I've seen on sale. Sephora claims that these are longwearing and buildable which I totally agree with! The formula is stunning, worth every penny. I've worn them and they've lasted an entire work day without fading. They blend into the skin effortlessly which makes them look pretty natural. Let's get into the colors :-)
Sephora Collection Colorful Blush in Sunbaked
*Sunbaked: a peachy neutral shade, matte finish and gorgeous! It's a great everyday color.
Sephora Collection Colorful Blush in Icy Fuchsia
*Icy Fuchsia: a bright baby pink with silver shimmer, lovely spring/summer shade. The shimmer is minimal so no worries about fall out. Kinda reminds me of an E.L.F blush... hmmm might need to look through my collection and compare. ;-)
Sephora Collection Colorful Blush in Rose Pop
*Rose Pop: a bright matte pink, my favorite from the bunch! It's so lively and perfect for this time of year. It gives the prettiest flush to your cheeks.
Sephora Collection Colorful Blushes
Here are the swatches! The top photo is in natural light and the one below is with flash. They're pigmented but not that terrifying pigmented where you need the lightest hand. These are pretty much fool proof!
Sephora Collection Colorful Blushes

Bottom line: These blushes are an A+. I'm excited that I managed to catch them on sale and hopefully you still can too. They are longwearing, smooth and beautiful colors! :-)

Reviews: Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Freelove & Laced!

Mini Urban Decay Haul!

Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Freelove & Laced
Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands when it comes to eyeshadow! You can only imagine my excitement when I saw their eyeshadows at half price during the Ulta 21 days of beauty! I wanted a bunch of them but I'm trying to be good with my hauling and settled for these two! ;-)
Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Freelove & Laced
Packaging is everything! These are perfect for traveling. Urban Decay sells a pretty spiffy empty palette you can stick these in... if I get more I'll definitely consider that!
Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Freelove & Laced
Here's a closeup of the colors! I ended up with a bright summery shade and a matte transition shade. I wanted colors that I don't already own in palettes and these ended up being exactly that.
Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Freelove & Laced
Here are the swatches! These shadows are incredibly smooth! I love the formula, specially Laced because it's such a blendable matte shade which is hard to find nowadays.
Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Freelove & Laced

Bottom line: Urban Decay does shadow right and these singles are no exception! For only $9 at the time these were a bargain! Can't wait to add some more to my collection in the future. :-)

Review: LORAC Alter Ego Dream Girl Eyeshadow Palette!

NEW From LORAC!

LORAC Alter Ego Dream Girl Eyeshadow Palette
Last year I had my eye on the LORAC summer collection but never got to purchasing anything...shocker right?! haha. This year I came, I saw... I hauled! I purchased the LORAC Alter Ego Dream Girl Eyeshadow Palette on the Kohl's website for only $24. For being a higher end brand the price is pretty amazing! This palette is exclusive to Kohl's and the LORAC Website.
LORAC Alter Ego Dream Girl Eyeshadow Palette
The colors are the definition of summer! They definitely caught my eye immediately! Packaging is extremely nice. It feels very similar to Nars packaging...fancy. ;-)
LORAC Alter Ego Dream Girl Eyeshadow Palette
Here are the swatches! Even though the colors are all gorgeous the texture isn't consistent throughout the palette. My favorite shade is the copper/gold in the center. It's pigmented and really smooth. The purple wasn't the best, not much color payoff. Some of the shades were a bit crumbly in texture like the first shade. But for $24...you can work with it in my opinion.

LORAC Alter Ego Dream Girl Eyeshadow Palette

Bottom line: Overall I really like the palette but it's not a favorite. I find that the limited edition LORAC palettes are not comparable to their permanent items like the Pro Palette or the Unzipped Palette. The shadows just don't feel the same and I think that's why my expectations weren't fully met. I also own the Urban Decay Electric palette so some of the brighter colors in this palette are in that one. If you want to play with color for the summer time and you want to do it on a budget this would honestly be a great choice! :-)

Review: Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Lipstick in Metallic Jelly!

#BringingFrostBack!

Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Lipstick in Metallic Jelly
Too Faced is bringing frost back with their NEW Melted Metals line! Metallic lip colors are pretty out there and different which is why I needed one in my life haha. I purchased Metallic Jelly, priced at $21 but I waited to get it during the Sephora V.I.B sale ;-) I'm a huge fan of the original Melted Lipsticks, check out my previous posts for more details on those!
Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Lipstick in Metallic Jelly
Metallic Jelly is a beautiful plum shade with shimmer. I thought it was going to be deeper but it's pretty sheer which is something that threw me off. The original Melted Lipsticks are very opaque and dry matte but this one is completely opposite. It's a little buildable but you won't get it as opaque as the OG's, at least not this color. It's a thin formula that lasts about 3 hours before you need to reapply. This darker shade leaves a stain behind which is nice. The shimmers are comfortable, nothing you can feel on the lips.
Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Lipstick in Metallic Jelly

Bottom line: I had my expectations but overall I still like the lippie. It's great for throwing on and heading out the door because it doesn't require too much maintenance.Since it's glossy I would recommend a lip liner to make sure it doesn't feather. It's not as pigmented as I would like but I guess since it's frosty it's better for it to be subtle haha. I don't see myself purchasing any other colors but I do recommend this one! :-)
