MOTD: Back to Basics + A Pop of Color! NEW E.L.F Products!

Something Old, New & Blue!

NEW E.L.F Cosmetics Products

Hola! Thanks for stopping by today! If you love E.L.F Cosmetics and want to know how some of their products perform you've come to the right place. I used a mixture of newly released products and new to me products that have been out in the market but I now got around to try. Annnnnd if you're wondering what that pop of blue is... it's the NYX Vivid Brights Liner in Vivid Sapphire! ;-)

Let's get into the E.L.F reviews!

Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette in Holy Smokes:
I love all of the Mad for Matte palettes! This color selection is awesome if you're looking to create a natural day look and then smoke it out for a night out. I used the less smokey shades for this look and I enjoyed how they blended. It was easy, no fallout and the pigmentation was great.

No Budge Shadow Stick in Rose Gold:
This product is easy and convenient! It applied very well and even. It didn't give me the intensity that I wanted for this look so I applied the next product over it for a more metallic look. I love how the two products worked together!

Shimmer Highlighting Powder in Rose Glow:
I really like this highlighter formula. It's buildable and gives the most beautiful glow to your skin. Plus... they have a nice color selection! Aside from using it as my highlight I also placed it on top of the eyeshadow stick to bring out more of the rose tones. It made it last all day without creasing!

Primer-Infused Bronze in Forever Sunkissed:
This product is a newer release that I was super curious about. I wanted a new matte bronzer so I gave this one a try and I really really like it! I'm not sure about the primer aspects of it... kinda sounds gimmicky to me haha but the formula is pretty good. It's the perfect color for me right now and it blends so naturally on my skin. It's a neutral shade so I also did some light contouring and I really liked how it looked! This is a must try! Plus it's a great size pan ;-)

Primer-Infused Blush in Always Cheeky:
I can't say no to trying new blushes... it's an obsession haha. This blush is formulated like the bronzer and worked just as great! It's a beautiful nude-peach shade that ends up looking amazing with any look. It actually reminds me of one of favorite blushes ever: LORAC Buildable Blush in Tinge so I'm super excited to have an affordable alternative. This is also a must have and I might be ordering some other colors! ;-)

Highshine Liquid Lip Gloss in Bitten Pink:
Bitten Pink is the prettiest nude. The formula is really comfortable! It doesn't last too long being that it's a pigmented gloss and not a liquid lipstick but that's OK. After wearing liquid lipsticks for the longest time my lips need a break and I've been loving glosses lately for the comfort. I wish they offered more wearable shades so E.L.F if you're reading this release more shades! :-)

Hope these mini reviews were helpful. Let me know what your favorite E.L.F product is below! <3

EOTD: Romantic Eye Look- Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette!

Pretty & Romantic!

Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette
Hiiii! Thanks for stopping by today! :-) I purchased the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette a while ago... and forgot. That's what happens when your a makeup addict, haha. I was feeling inspired to create a romantic mauve-y eye and this one was the perfect palette for the look!

I used the matte rose pink in my crease with the deeper reddish brown in the outer corner. I then went in with the metallic pink-purple shift shade all over my lid (love that color!). I took the metallic baby pink color next to it and applied it to my inner corners. Lastly, I used the matte cream shade as my brow bone highlight.

EOTD: Easy Valentine's Day Eye Look Using Drugstore Products! (Wet n Wild & Maybelline!)

Simple Valentine's Day Look!

Easy Valentine's Day Eye Look Using Drugstore Products

Valentine's Day is almost here so I created some looks in preparation for the special day! Today I'm sharing a very simple Rose Gold and Burnt Red look using drugstore products.

The palette I used is the Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette in Rose in the air and it's only $4.99! It's a new item and a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette for a fraction of the cost. I love the mattes in this palette! For this look I decided to mix both of the bigger pans and buffed them into my crease. I then took the matte red/burgundy shade and deepened the outer v and also ran it underneath my lower lash-line with a pencil brush.

I wanted a beautiful metallic shade for my lid and the Wet n Wild palette didn't have what I was looking for so instead I used the NEW Maybelline FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Molten Rose Gold! This shade is stunning! It's the perfect rose gold tone and I love how foiled it looks on the lid. I finished the look off with my favorite matte liquid liner and mascara and there you have it! Super simple right? :-)

You can create this look for under $15 which is pretty amazing! Stay tuned for more looks coming soon. Make sure to share and leave me comments with your thoughts!

Review: E.L.F Cosmetics Correct & Set Under Eye Powders! (Rose and Peach!)

NEW from E.L.F!

E.L.F Cosmetics Correct & Set Under Eye Powders
Thanks for stopping by today! :-) I've been so eager to share my thoughts on the NEW E.L.F Cosmetics Correct & Set Under Eye Powders! They are only $4 each and there's 3 shades to choose from based on your skintone (rose- light tones, peach-medium tones and banana-for deep tones). They are meant to brighten the under eye while also making fine lines appear smoother and dark circles less noticeable. I tried out both rose and peach because I wasn't sure which shade would work best for me so lets get into my thoughts!

I tried out rose first and I found that it was waaaay to light for my liking! I know a lot of people really enjoy a super light under eye but I prefer something closer to my skintone. This shade would be perfect for fair to light skintones.

The directions say to pretty much use it to "bake" your under eyes by applying a generous amount over your concealer; wait a few minutes and dust away the excess. I didn't technically go that route because it's a really tiny container so I didn't want to waste product haha. Plus, a little really goes a long way because they are pretty pigmented. I used my damp beauty blender to apply it over my concealer and instantly I noticed the brightness and how smooth the area looked! I was pretty impressed! My concealer didn't crease throughout the day and I'm so excited to report that my under eye didn't look dry one bit! I recently had some horrible experiences with other powders so that was a huge plus for me.

The peach shade is my favorite! I felt like it worked just as well and was a better match for my skintone. Above you can see the difference between rose(left) and peach(right) on my light-medium skintone. I love how it looks on the right! Me a few years ago would've rocked the super light under eye haha but now I feel like it ages me now.

Bottom line: This product is amazing! It's convenient and affordable. I love that E.L.F has options for most skintones too. This is now part of my makeup routine so definitely check it out! :-)
