Review: Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara!

New At The Drugstore!

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
I haven't tried a new mascara in what seems like forever! As soon as I saw this packaging I was sold haha. The Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara is about $8 at the drugstore and claims to lift the lashes while adding volume with a new plumping formula. Sounds pretty good right? Let's get into the review! :-)
Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
So there's no doubt that the packaging is pretty cool! So different and eye catching which is what you need in the drugstore world. The wand is unique, lots of tiny bristles which are meant to provide the volume for your lashes.
Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
Here's what my lashes look like with two coats! On the site it says not to let the mascara dry between coats so I applied it one after another. It clumped up my lashes a bit making me look like I had less. It did add length and I love how black it is! You have to take some time to wiggle through your lashes to avoid major clumping but they do look voluminous. I adore how it looks on my lower lashes and I'd wear it with more dramatic looks! It's a bit too clumpy for my liking for everyday but it's not a bad formula. It's a wet formula so maybe when it dries a little I might change my mind. We'll see! ;-)

Bottom line: If you like the spidery look this would be your match! It's definitely worth a try and it does amazing things for my bottom lashes! It holds your curl so well and it doesn't flake off like other mascaras. Thumbs up! :-)

Swatches: Wet N Wild Here's to the Wild Ones Fall 2015 Lipsticks!

Vampy Shades Anyone? :-)

Wet N Wild Here's to the Wild Ones Fall 2015 Lipsticks
Wet n Wild Lipsticks are some of my favorite from the drugstore, especially the limited edition fall collections! I was cruising through Walgreens a few weeks back and came across the "Here's to the Wild Ones" Fall 2015 Collection. Immediately the lipsticks called my name! There's 6 shades in the line but I only picked up the three that stood out to me. They were less than $3 and just as amazing as my other Wet n Wild lippies! ;-)
Wet N Wild Here's to the Wild Ones Fall 2015 Lipsticks
Here are the swatches... gorgeous and perfect for fall! If you haven't tried the Megalast line you're missing out. They are creamy lippies that last all day! They are super comfortable and truly feel more expensive than they really are.
Wet N Wild Here's to the Wild Ones Fall 2015 Lipsticks
*Coffee Buzz- definetely a must have! It's a unique shade, a deep plum with some brown in it, a fall staple for sure!
*Vintage Vibe- my favorite shade! Reminds me a lot of Mac's Rebel lipstick. I can see myself wearing this one at least once a week haha.
*Photobomb- another different shade, the perfect mix between red and brown. Can't wait to rock it with some winged liner!

If you've been looking for some new fall lippies these are amazing! Check them out next time you're at Walgreens! :-)

Dupe Alert: Affordable Dupes to the Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadows! ( Thrasher & Raw Power!)

Great Formulas!

Affordable Dupes to the Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadows
Today's post is really exciting because I found an affordable alternative to the Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadows! :-) I have a review on the Metal Crush Eyeshadows so if you want to know more about them click here! They are an amazingly pigmented gorgeous metallic shadow but they are $21 each which can get expensive really quick. Even though they are worth it (in my opinion) I was so excited to find something very similar at a drugstore price to share with you!
Affordable Dupes to the Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadows
I recently reviewed the NEW City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadows and noticed that they were really similar to the Metal Crush Eyeshadows. If you want to check out that review click here! The Shimmer Shadows are only $6.99 each and there's tons more colors to choose from. They are slightly different in formula; the Metal Crush Shadows are creamy but not a cream to powder hybrid like the Shimmer Shadows. On the eyes they're both stunning and stay on all day!

The Metal Crush Shadow formula is on the drier side compared to the Shimmer Shadows. But like I said... twinning on the lids! haha. I wanted to find some shades to compare, the colors are not spot on but just so you can get an idea of what they look like! :-)
Affordable Dupes to the Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadows
There's minimal fall out with both formulas and they blend so easily. Another thing to point out is that you get a little more product with City Color Cosmetics.

I love both formulas! On the eyes you can't tell a difference. If you love metallic shadows as much as I do either one would be great. If you're looking for more options for your money I highly recommend the City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadows! :-)

Review: Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick in Sinful Cinnamon!

A Bit Of Cinnamon For The Fall!

Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick in Sinful Cinnamon
I have a total of three of the NEW Buxom Big &Sexy Bold Gel Lipsticks, make sure to check out my first impressions on the first two I purchased by clicking here! :-) I loved the formula so much that I decided to get the other color I was eyeing, Sinful Cinnamon. Each lippie is $22 so it's definitely a "treat yo self" type of product haha. The line is divided into Satin and Mattes and they come in the coolest packaging... pure awesomeness!
Sinful Cinnamon is a matte lipstick and the Buxom formula is so comfortable! It's opaque and creamy which is the definition of a good lipstick. But because it's so creamy it's not the most longwearing. I personally don't mind reapplying. If I'm looking for something super long lasting I would wear a liquid lipstick instead. It's a little hard to apply too because the shape of the lipstick is bigger than the norm, it's on the chubby side so precision is hard to achieve. The color is gorgeous nonetheless so all the flaws go out the window haha.
Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick in Sinful Cinnamon
Here's is a swatch, just one swipe across. It's so smooth with great color payoff right off the bat. This color is so pretty too, a great brown-nude shade! At first there's a slight sheen on the lips, more of a satin finish but it ends up looking matte after a while. I don't find it to be drying at all and that's the main selling point for me when it comes to mattes.
Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick in Sinful Cinnamon

Bottom line: I love this color and formula! It's a great everyday shade and Sinful Cinnamon just sounds so appropriate for fall! :-)

Dupe Alert: Drugstore Dupe of Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed!

Another Day, Another Dupe!

Drugstore Dupe of Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed
Dupe Alerts is my favorite post to write! :-) I've been on a role recently so make sure to check out my previous Dupe Alerts! Today I wanted to share a pretty spot on dupe of my all time favorite blush: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed. I've had this blush for years, old packaging and all haha. It pairs with pretty much any look and it's the one I go to most days! It retails for $28 but the dupe is only $8!
Drugstore Dupe of Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed
Here's Tarte Exposed and Milani Rose Powder Blush in Romantic Rose! They're are both a matte pink nude, perfect everyday shade! :-) Something to point out too is that with Milani you get 17g of product... #blushfordays! Tarte has 5.6g of product so Milani is cheaper and you tons more for your money. They're both smooth, silky and blend effortlessly. I will say Tarte Exposed lives up to the 12 hour claim and the Milani blush will start fading within 5 hours or so.
Drugstore Dupe of Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed
Here are the swatches! :-) Really similar right? You can tell in the pic above that Tarte Exposed is very loved to say the least haha so I'm excited to know that once I run out I don't need to spend another $28.

I hope this Dupe Alert was helpful and I highly recommend the Milani Rose Powder Blushes! :-)

Review: L'oreal True Match LUMI Powder Glow Illuminators! (Ice, Rose & Golden!)

Highlights At The Drugstore!

Highlights... at the drugstore?! *jumps up and down* L'oreal got me excited when I saw not one... but three highlights to suite many skintones! That's how you release a product! haha. I loved the packaging and the price was right during the ULTA 40% off sale a few months back. They normally retail for about $12 which is pretty high for drugstore. But there's always a sale! :-)

I got all three and I've used them for a while so hear are my thoughts! The powder isn't the silkiest feeling if you compare them to Becca highlights for instance. Nor are they the most pigmented but they are buildable and beautiful on the skin! They have tiny shimmers throughout the powder that add dimension to your cheekbones which I love. They last and I really appreciate the different tones they offer! I noticed the best way to apply them is specifically with a fan brush. It gives a gorgeous natural, subtle highlight. With that said if you prefer a "wet look" or an intense highlight these are not the ones for you. Let's get into each one!
L'oreal True Match LUMI Powder Glow Illuminator in Ice
Ice: this is the cooler toned highlight, better suited for lighter skintones. I have a light-medium skintone and it looked really pretty on! I love the colors, in the light it looks white with a shift of lilac. In the swatch is every color swatched alone plus the all of them blended together towards the end.
L'oreal True Match LUMI Powder Glow Illuminator in Rose
Rose: this is the neutral toned highlight, pretty much can work on anyone. This one is my favorite! I love the rosey champagne color it becomes when you swirl all the shades together!
L'oreal True Match LUMI Powder Glow Illuminator in Golden
Golden: This is the last one and it has a warm undertone, suitable for deeper skintones. I actually used this one a lot during the warmer months and loved it! I looked more like a bronzey blush topper, a little to dark to be a highlight on my skintone but really pretty nonetheless.

In this picture I'm wearing Rose so you can tell that it's not the most intense highlight but I actually like it that way. I have my days where I need a little something but I don't want a lightning bolt across my face haha so this is perfect! If you wish to intensify them they also released liquid illuminators to pair with each powder so that's an option for ya!

Bottom line: I'd say give these a try! I really enjoy them. Would I pay full price for them? Maybe not, I find $12-$15 to be too expensive for the drugstore but that's the best part about shopping at the drugstore... sales and coupons! :-)

Review: bh Cosmetics Blushed Neutrals 26 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette!

Perfect Fall Colors!

bhCosmetics Blushed Neutrals 26 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette
An all-in-one palette for less than $20? Yes please! :-) Today I have a review on the bhCosmetics Blushed Neutrals 26 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette. I purchased mine for only $12 but it's on sale for $10 as I'm writing this post so make sure to check it out here! It's a beautiful mix of metallics, mattes and satin eyeshadows + a row of blushes to pair with them. Overall, it's a great value and the colors are gorgeous!
bhCosmetics Blushed Neutrals 26 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette
I'm loving the color selection, it's pretty much fall in a palette. BTW: I'm super excited for fall... dark lips, smokey eyes... can't wait! :-D The mattes are surprisingly my faves from this palette. I say surprisingly because I love metallic shadows but the mattes were so smooth and pigmented, really impressed by them! Here are the swatches:

bhCosmetics Blushed Neutrals 26 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette

bhCosmetics Blushed Neutrals 26 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette
The blushes are stunning! They would suit most skintones and I love the option of mixing a little bit of this one with that one to customize a shade. Plus... you can use them as shadows! No rules in makeup ;-) That second to last blush would look amazing all over the lid!
bhCosmetics Blushed Neutrals 26 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette
Here's a look I created using a matte purple and orange and one of the lighter metallic shades. There was little fall out when I used them. I find the pigmentation to be very good, not super pigmented like Urban Decay but defintely buildable.

bh cosmetics look

Bottom line: This is a great palette and the price is awesome! Goes to show that you don't need to splurge to get pretty eye looks! Some shadows are more pigmented than others but overall it's a palette I can work with and the colors just inspire me! Nowadays palettes just look the same. These colors speak to me and that makes creating looks a lot more fun! :-)

Dupe Alert: Drugstore Dupe Of Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita!

Lolita For Less!

Drugstore Dupe Of Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Hey everyone! Today I  wanted to share another dupe for Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita! I have a previous post full of other drugstore alternatives here so make sure to check it out! That post had a few options for a similar colors without any emphasis on the formula. I'm pretty stoked about this post because I found a product that's similar in shade and formula! :-) Let's get into it!
Drugstore Dupe Of Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
So the spot on dupe I have to share with you is the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft-Spoken! It's a newer release from NYX and it's only $7 while Lolita is $20 (great deal huh?) They're both that 90's pinky brown that has become so popular. They're both a matte finish and pretty longwearing. Now, Lolita is unbeatable when it comes to lasting power because it's the truest of mattes. Soft-Spoken is a matte finish that actually doesn't set completely, weird I know! It stays the slightest bit tacky which makes it more comfortable if you suffer from dry lips.
Drugstore Dupe Of Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Here are the lip swatches! On the lips you can't tell a difference. Matte formulas can be harsh on the lips so depending on the day I wear one or the other. If you wan't something that doesn't move get the original. If you have dry lips and don't mind a bit of tackiness Soft-Spoken is a great option! Why pay more if you can get it for less? :-)

Review: City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadows!

Pigmentation On Point!

City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadows
City Color Cosmetics released a new line of shadows called Shimmer Shadows and they are absolutely amazing! There's tons of colors to choose from and I have six to share with you today! I'm super impressed by the formula and they're only $6.99 each which is not bad at all. If you love metallic shadows these are a must try! :-)
City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadows
The formula is unique, it's a cream-powder hybrid with intense color payoff. The shadow is super smooth and glides on easily! Over primer they don't crease and they last a long while, close to all day. I love how they apply, there's little to any fall out and they blend effortlessly.
City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadows
I have Bubble Bath on the top left, Pharaoh on the top right and Cheers To Life on the bottom left. Gorgeous neutral, bronze shades that would suite everybody! I used Pharaoh paired with my Kat Von D Monarch palette for warm golden look and it came out lovely! You can see that look towards the bottom! :-)
City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadows
On the top left I have It's A Boy!, All Eyes On Me on the top right and It's A Girl! on the bottom left. I definetely wanted to try a few pops of color and I'm super satisfied with these. That blue is so vibrant... amazing! The burgundy shade is going to look stunning during the upcoming fall season, I can't wait!
City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadows
Here are two looks using some of these shadows! I love how foiled and metallic they look! You honestly don't need to wet them to get them this intense but if you choose to OMG... so pretty!
City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadows

Bottom line: I love the this formula! Metallic shadows are my favorite and I highly recommend these if you also obsess over metallics. They remind me of the Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadows.... I'll need to compare them. Expect a post if they're a dupe soon! ;-) In the meantime make sure to give these a try because they are totally worth it!
