Swatches: NEW Milani Baked Blushes in Bella Bellini & Rosa Romantica!

NEW Milani Blushes!

Milani Baked Blushes in Bella Belllini & Rosa Romantica
While snooping through the Milani website I came across two NEW blush shades within their Baked Blush line! I was really excited because that line is one of my favorites from the drugstore. I wear Luminoso and Rose D'Oro all the time in the Spring & Summer! These retail for $8 each and are available on the Milani website, I haven't seen these in-store yet. The gold packaging gets me every single time... am I the only one? haha.

The first shade is called Bella Bellini which is described as a rose gold. I'd say its more of a peachy pink base with a golden shift...gorgeous! I wore this one with a light-hand in the picture below. It's really glowy and pigmented! The second shade is Rosa Romantica which is described as a light pink. It is really light which will still work for me, on darker skin it would be a pretty pink highlight.

Here are the swatches! These shades are really pretty! Milani, if you're reading this (haha) release more shades please.

Hope these swatches were helpful. If you're a Milani fan like me these are must haves. Stop by they're website, they have tons of new releases that look worth purchasing! :-)

Review: Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation in Golden Beige!

NEW Wet n Wild Foundation!

Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation in Golden Beige
I was so excited to find this foundation at my local Walgreens because it's only $5.99! The packaging is a really nice glass bottle, definetely feels more expensive than $5.99! There's a total of 20 shades on the Wet n Wild website which is amazing. They claim that this foundation is skin-perfecting and camera-ready with a matte finish. I wore it a few times and here are my thoughts!

I purchased the shade Golden Beige which was a perfect match. I used a beauty blender for application which gave me medium coverage. I love the spatula the foundation comes with! It makes application very easy. Now, here's my first con: this foundation has a strong paint like scent. It doesn't linger but it's noticeable when you're applying it.

I really like how this foundation looks for the first 3-4 hours. It looks amazing for that period of time (matte, skin like and super smooth) but after the 4 hour mark it starts to break down on me. During the Winter time my skin is pretty normal but this foundation made me get SO oily! At the end of the day, even after touching up, my face looked greasy.

I did wear a pore minimizing primer underneath, maybe I should try a mattifying one instead. I really wanted this to work because it looks really good at first. Wet n Wild claims that it looks great under different lighting... not too important to me but I will say it looks awesome on camera.

Bottom line: I would stay away if you have oily skin. My skin is pretty normal right now and it still made me oily. It wasn't longwearing which is a bummer. I will continue to wear it on days that I don't need it to last long. I do like the color selection and the price is budget friendly. It's up in the air for me but for $5.99 it may be worth a try for you! :-)

Review: Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks!

NEW Liquid Lipsticks!

Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks
I took a break from liquid lipsticks for a bit but when Wet n Wild released their version I had to get a few! They released a new line called the Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks for only $4.99 each. The color section is amazing because they have tons of different shades from nudes to vampy shades. That's pretty impressive for the drugstore. I have five to share with you today, lets get started.
Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks
Packaging is really simple but still very cute! It's very similar to the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks. The applicator is really nice, it has a dent in the center where the product gathers making it easier to apply. Here are the shades I have:
Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks
*Rebel Rose
*Give Me Mocha
*Berry Recognize
*Video Vixen
*Goth Topic
Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks
The formula seems to be a hit or miss depending on the shade. Upon application these reminded me of the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks because of the consistency. The formula is on the thinner side like Kat Von D's but... (BIG but) they are not as pigmented as those! Some colors went on patchy and needed a second layer. You can see what I mean in the pic above, Give Me Mocha went on a bit patchy but Rebel Rose went on great.

Bottom line: I give Wet n Wild two thumbs up for the color selection! Depending on the shade the formula can be patchy but if you don't mind layering these are great. They are comfortable and last pretty well. Try one out and see for yourself! :-)

Review: Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Dayglow!

Time to Glow!

Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Dayglow
Back to back highlighter reviews! Check out my previous post for my thoughts on the NEW E.L.F Shimmer Highlighting Powders by clicking here! Today I'll be sharing my thoughts on the NEW Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Dayglow. I ordered mine from the Milani website for $10 and there's a total of four shades to choose from. I love Milani products so I definitely needed to get my hands on this one! I decided to only order one to give it a shot and here are my thoughts! :-)
Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Dayglow
First off... the packaging is gorgeous! From the gold accents to the wavy print... it looks high-end! It reminds me of the Make Up For Ever Pro Light Fusion Highlighter design.
Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Dayglow
On the left it's swatched dry and on the right it's swatched wet. The top is in natural lighting and the bottom is taken with flash. Dayglow is a beautiful champagne shade with a golden undertone. The texture is really smooth, no glitters or shimmers just a beautiful sheen!
To apply I prefer to spritz my fan brush with setting spray and apply it wet for a more foiled look. But you can also wear it dry for a natural glow to the skin. I love this shade on my skintone! I love it so much that I also wear it as an eyeshadow and inner corner highlight, haha.
Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in Dayglow
Bottom line: I love this shade and how it wears! It stays put for an entire work day without fading too much. I really like how multipurpose it is and how beautiful it looks as a shadow. It's buildable and doesn't sit oddly on the skin. Also, since it doesn't contain glitter/shimmer it doesn't emphasize texture. You really look like you have a healthy glow... who doesn't want that? ;-)

Review: E.L.F Shimmer Highlighting Powders!

Never Enough Highlight!

E.L.F Shimmer Highlighting Powders

While scrolling through the what's new section on the E.L.F site I noticed a brand new highlighting product and immediately placed my order! These are called the Shimmer Highlighting Powders and retail for only $6. E.L.F claims that these will give a luminous glow to the skin while also creating a soft focus effect. Are those claims true? Let's get into those details! :-)

I first ordered the middle shade in Sunset Glow not knowing what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised! After trying that one I needed the others, haha.

*The formula is buildable
*I find spraying your brush with a setting spray works best when applying them
*They look stunning on the skin when worn wet, not so much when dry
*They make great eyeshadows too!

If I had to compare the texture to another highlighter I would say it's very similar to the LORAC Illuminating Highlighters but the E.L.F ones have shimmers. If you apply them dry chances are you'll end up with shimmers everywhere so definetely wet your brush first.
E.L.F Shimmer Highlighting Powders
Here are the swatches. They don't look like much when swatched dry but trust me when I say they look stunning when applied wet! You can see in the pic below that it's noticeable but not too intense.
E.L.F Shimmer Highlighting Powders
Bottom line: I really like these! It's a buildable product and the color selection is suitable for most skintones. The price is also amazing! Their baked highlighters were a miss for me because I couldn't get them to show up so if you had the same issue these are worth a try! :-)

Review: L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation & Blend Artist Foundation Blender!

NEW From L'Oreal!

L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation
My favorite time of year is here!! New makeup is starting to appear at the drugstores and I couldn't be more excited! It's always fun to try something new and today I have two mini reviews to share with you.

The L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation instantly intrigued me when I saw it at Walmart. It was about $10-$12 which is pricey for the drugstore but the claims made me bite the bullet. It claims to provide full coverage with a lightweight formula and natural finish. I've worn it a few times now and can completely agree with it being full coverage and lightweight! It covers everything yet it feels like nothing on the skin which is amazing! It dries beautifully and I didn't have to set it with powder which is a first for me. My main con is the packaging... it's so hard to pick your shade! The color 303 Nude Beige ended up being too neutral for me, just made me look lifeless.

L'Oreal Blend Artist Foundation Blender

Now, the L'Oreal Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender is something you need! I wasn't expecting much from the sponge but I was so blown away! The shape is awesome, I love the pointy end for concealer and the rounded bottom for foundation. The dent in the center helps with gripping it which is pretty cool. It gets pretty large when damp and I love that because it covers more surface. I've used it with multiple foundations and haven't been disappointed. For $7.99 it's the best at the drugstore in my opinion! (Sorry Real Techniques!)

Bottom line: If you can find a color match I would recommend the foundation because it looks really nice on the skin. The fact that you don't have to set it with powder is a plus and it feels really lightweight. The foundation blender sponge is hands down a must have. I really enjoy using it and how well it blends my makeup! It's affordable and the design is super convenient... you need it! :-)

New Years Eve Makeup Look! (Using the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette!)

Hello 2017!

New Years Eve Makeup Look
Happy New Year!! I'm welcoming 2017 with open arms! :-) Today I wanted to share the eyelook I wore on New Years Eve. I used the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette which has been a favorite ever since I got my hands on it. I placed a tiny heart over the shades I used for my look. If you own similar warm shades like the Morphe 35O or even the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette you can achieve a similar look!
New Years Eve Makeup Look

Here's an overlook of the rest of my makeup! I originally wanted to wear a silver-smokey eye... but I just couldn't stay away from the warmer shades. It's an obsession I'm carrying over to this new year! ;-) Hope you enjoyed the look! If you have questions leave me a comment down below! :-)
