Cranberry-Mauve Look using NEW Drugstore Makeup! (+ Mini Reviews!)

New at the Drugstore!

Cranberry-Mauve Look using NEW Drugstore Makeup
Hi everyone! I'm back with a bunch of new drugstore products and some mini reviews! I tried out all the products you see above and I'm super excited to share my thoughts. In the midst of trying them I came up with this cranberry-mauve look and I really like how it turned out. Without delay lets get into the mini reviews, shall we? :-)

Maybelline Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation
*Maybelline Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation in 30 Warm Nude($16)- I really like this foundation! I completely agree with the "fresh face" claim, it's luminous but not too much. I personally prefer matte foundations but now that Spring is coming along and the weather is warming up it tends to be too heavy for me. This is perfect because it's lightweight but still provides great coverage leaving your skin looking youthful! It does come with a sponge applicator which I didn't end up liking, I felt like it made the foundation sit on my face and didn't blend it in. I use my Beauty Blender instead and it gets the job done beautifully.

New at the drugstore
*CoverGirl Outlast All Day Soft Touch Concealer in 830 light/medium($12)-  This concealer is great for everyday but not my favorite for a full face of makeup. CoverGirl claims that this concealer instantly erases your dark circles which I disagree with. I end up having to layer this concealer because the coverage is pretty light. I don't mind lighter coverage for work or for running errands but for a full face of makeup I wouldn't reach for this one. I really like the sponge applicator, it's perfect for such a sensitive area so kudos to that!

*CoverGirl Outlast Matte Finishing Powder in 830 light to medium($13)- This is a great powder! I really love it for touch ups because it instantly makes my face matte and we all know I love a matte face haha. The foundation doesn't need to be set but out of habit I did it anyway (just my t-zone) and I loved it. I would highly stay away from using it alone as CoverGirl suggest because it made my skin feel so dry! But over foundation and for touch ups it was awesome.

*ULTA Matte Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette($20)- I purchased this palette on a great deal and it was totally worth it! The shadows are buttery, smooth and beautiful colors. They are powdery but they blend so well so I'm OK with that. After comparing it to another higher end all matte palette I found that they have very similar colors so stay tuned for a possible dupe post very soon! ;-)

*Maybelline Color Sensational Inti-Matte Nudes Lipstick in Brown Blush($8)- Maybelline makes my favorite drugstore lipsticks and this new collection is...so good! The collection is the same formula as their creamy mattes, just warmer nudes that are made for different skintones. The lipstick is super comfy, pigmented and smooth and on top of that it's a mauve-brown... need I say anymore?! Definitely check out this collection if your a fan of Maybelline lipsticks!

Alright, that's all I have for you today! I hope these mini reviews were helpful and stay tuned for some more posts in the near future! :-)

Review: Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color!

#VividMatte

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color
Influenster sent me two of the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Colors for review so that's exactly what I'm doing to day! :-) They retail for about $8 at most drugstores and there's a total of 10 shades in the line. I've worn Nude Flush and must say this formula is really different from what I was expecting.
Maybelline claims that it's a creamy formula with a velvety finish once dry. It's full color coverage with an intense, rich look. I definetely agree with the creamy formula claim. The finish is questionable because I don't feel like it actually dries down...ever! So although it's comfortable since it's not drying out your lips, it becomes messy and transfers! Maybelline does recommend to apply thin layers for a better outcome. Also, if you want an ultra-matte finish to blot with a tissue. I guess it's customizable but there's other liquid lipsticks that dry down and last without having to do all the extra things.
Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color
The two colors I received are super pretty! Rebel Red is my favorite because the tone it's pretty darn perfect. The swatches above are right after application. They have a strong slightly floral scent (reminds me of the elixirs) that lingers for a bit but not all day.
Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color
Here's what Nude Flush looks like after blotting it with tissue. It does make it more matte but it takes away from the color payoff and they just don't end up lasting.

Bottom line: The colors in the line are really pretty but the formula is not my favorite. For how vivid most colors in the line are the formula doesn't work because it transfers and it's not really matte. It's definetely a satin finish so if you're looking for that this product would be perfect! :-)

*Products mentioned in this post were sent for review by Influenster but all opinions are my own.

Dupe Alert: Drugstore Dupe Of Mac Whirl Lipstick!

Get the "IT" Color For Less!

Drugstore Dupe Of Mac Whirl
Mac Whirl lipstick has been on everyone's wishlist ever since Kylie Jenner made it popular and for good reason because it's a gorgeous color! I found a dupe within my collection and I'm so exited to share it with you! If you know me and my blog you know how in love I am with the Maybelline Creamy Mattes line. It's such a great matte formula, so comfy on the lips and so affordable. The stars aligned and I found a dupe within that line and it's so so sooo similar! :-)
Drugstore Dupe Of Mac Whirl
Here are the swatches! Maybelline Nude Nuance is the closest dupe to Whirl that I've seen as far as color and formula. They're both matte and longwearing.... I'd say Nude Nuance is the slightest bit on the red side but other than that they're identical. Nude Nuance is about $6 at the drugstore compared to the $17 price-tag on Mac lippies.

Definetely pick up Nude Nuance! It's an amazing shade and awesome formula! :-)

Review: Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara!

New At The Drugstore!

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
I haven't tried a new mascara in what seems like forever! As soon as I saw this packaging I was sold haha. The Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara is about $8 at the drugstore and claims to lift the lashes while adding volume with a new plumping formula. Sounds pretty good right? Let's get into the review! :-)
Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
So there's no doubt that the packaging is pretty cool! So different and eye catching which is what you need in the drugstore world. The wand is unique, lots of tiny bristles which are meant to provide the volume for your lashes.
Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
Here's what my lashes look like with two coats! On the site it says not to let the mascara dry between coats so I applied it one after another. It clumped up my lashes a bit making me look like I had less. It did add length and I love how black it is! You have to take some time to wiggle through your lashes to avoid major clumping but they do look voluminous. I adore how it looks on my lower lashes and I'd wear it with more dramatic looks! It's a bit too clumpy for my liking for everyday but it's not a bad formula. It's a wet formula so maybe when it dries a little I might change my mind. We'll see! ;-)

Bottom line: If you like the spidery look this would be your match! It's definitely worth a try and it does amazing things for my bottom lashes! It holds your curl so well and it doesn't flake off like other mascaras. Thumbs up! :-)

Swatches: Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks! (New Shades!)

New Shades!

Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
*sigh* I'm in love... completely in love with these new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick shades! This is one of my favorite matte formula when it comes to lipsticks and Maybelline does colors right! If you thought the original shades were gorgeous, wait till you see these! :-)
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
These retail for about $5-$6 depending on where you find them. About a month ago Ulta had BOGO sale + $3.50 off of $10 + free shipping! I made separate transactions and let's just say I got these for dirt cheap! :-D
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
There's about 10 new shades but these were the ones that spoke to me... they are just so beautiful! If you haven't tried these before I'll give you some quick details. They are super creamy, very opaque and keeps your lips hydrated! It's one of the most comfortable feeling mattes in the market( high-end or drugstore!)
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
Here are the swatches on my hand, just one swipe across! Now let's get into lip swatches:
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
*Clay Crush- one of my faves from the new shades! It's a gorgeous terracotta nude, so flattering!
*Vibrant Violet- a bright purple. I love that this color is part of the line, remind me a lot of Mac's Heroin!
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
*Blushing Pout- a light neutral pink. I thought I was going to really love this one but from all the ones I've tried this is the only one that went on patchy. A lip liner would do the trick though.
*Pink N Chic- a bright pink shade, really pretty! It went on really smooth and the color payoff was awesome!
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
*All Fired Up- a beautiful reddish pink.... love! This is another fave and so unique to the drugstore.

Do you have any favorites from this line? Definitely leave me a comment down below letting me know! I hope these swatches were helpful. :-)

Dupe Alert: Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita! (Mostly Drugstore!)

Stay On Trend For Less!

Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
This lippie you see right here was playing hard to get for the longest time! haha. About a month ago I received an email alert letting me know that the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita was back in stock so I ordered it right then and there. Part of me purchased it with fear of it being out of stock forever (lol) and the other part of me wanted it because I know this formula is amazing plus the color is so beautiful too! It does retail for $20 which is pretty pricey so I decided to look through my collection and find some similar colors to share with you! :-)
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Here's what the original looks like! It's described as a dusty rose which is kinda accurate. I find that my tube leans more brown which brings me to something I read online. I read rumors of a "Lolita II" releasing in the near future with more mauve tones. It seems like when Lolita first released it was more on the mauve side. Once it sold out the new batch leaned more brown like the one I own. The color is gorgeous nonetheless and within the dupes I have a a great mixture of shades that are in the same color family just in case you prefer the more mauve-y ones or brown tones.
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
The dupes I have today are mostly drugstore which is awesome because those won't cost you more than $8! The formulas are different which is the awesome thing about a dupe because if a matte finish isn't your thing I have a few cream finishes that you may like.
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
I have a total of five alternatives today, let's start off with the first one! I have a Jordana Easyliner in the shade Tawny, a cult favorite because it pairs well with so many lippies! The best part? It's less than $3.
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Next up we have another Jordana product, one of their cream lipsticks in Grape! It's very hydrating, not a matte finish like the original but your lips will love your for that haha. It has more mauve tones and also retails for less than $3. Mac Twig lipstick is also a great alternative! It's a satin finish, so comfortable on and color is pretty darn close! It's the only non-drugstore dupe but it's still more affordable than Lolita! The next two are both from Maybelline which hands down is one of my favorite lipstick brands. The first one is a cream lipstick called Crazy For Coffee, definetely more brown than the rest but such a stunning color, one of my faves! Lastly I have Touch Of Spice which is part of their matte line. This is the most similar in formulation. The color is simply amazing too!
Alternatives To Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Here are all the colors swatches!
*Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
*Jordana Easyliner For Lips in Tawny
*Jordana Lipstick in Grape
*Mac Lipstick in Twig
*Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Crazy For Coffee
*Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lipstick in Touch Of Spice

I hope you found today's post helpful! Lolita is definetely worth all the hype, from the color to the lasting power. But if you're able to get the look for less why not? Do you have any Lolita dupes of your own? Leave me a comment down below! :-)

Review: Maybelline Eye Studio Master Graphic Liner!

Great For Winged Liner!

Maybelline Eye Studio Master Graphic Liner
Today I have a quick review on the NEW Maybelline Eye Studio Master Graphic Liner! I don't tend to review liners because I only use one which also happens to be by Maybelline (Line Stiletto) and if it's not broke don't fix it right?! ;-) I don't wing out my liner much at all because in all honestly I SUCK! haha. It's so difficult to make it look decent and if you mess up you have to start your entire eyelook again which... ain't nobody got time for that!
This liner appealed to me because of it's shape. It's literally a sharpie! It seemed promising to get that perfect edge for your winged liner so I gave it shot. It retails for about $7, not bad at all.
Maybelline Eye Studio Master Graphic Liner
The pigmentation is really amazing! It's extremely black and it doesn't skip at all when you're drawing a line which is huge plus.
Maybelline Eye Studio Master Graphic Liner
I find that the tip is a bit tricky to use. Even though it makes winged liner easier, it's kinda hard to get that thin liner across. I find that the best way to achieve a thin line is by stamping it on. You need patience to get the line to look amazing... not my strength though haha. What I do now is use my Line Stiletto just to get the thin line I like and then use this for winging out the liner and it works!
Maybelline Eye Studio Master Graphic Liner
I guess more experienced gals shouldn't have a problem just using this liner on its own. It's a pretty cool idea and the price is also affordable. I really like it and would recommend it! :-)

Review: Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipsticks!

Ready For Spring!

Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipsticks
Maybelline lipsticks are one of  the best at the drugstore! When they release their collections I'm all over it like white on rice haha ;-) The Rebel Bloom line has been out in the market for few months now and it finally feels right to wear these colors after this ridiculously cold winter. They are super affordable, within the $5-$7 price range and a really great formula! There's a ton of pastels in this line which honestly isn't my taste but I managed to find two shades that were perfect for me and the upcoming season.
Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipsticks
Let's start of with packaging... so cute! I love packaging that stands out, anything to make it more visible for me in my makeup collection haha. Now lets get into the formula! It's really creamy and comfortable. Since they are glossy they have a slick feel to them but not bad at all, pretty moisturizing actually! The pigmentation is not the most opaque but you definitely get some color payoff. The Maybelline Vivids are one of my favorite lipsticks, the were a spring release about 2-3 years ago. I thought these were going to be more like the those but they're just a bit more sheer.
Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipsticks
Here are some swatches. Pretty colors even though this is as opaque as you can get them!
Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipsticks
*Blushing Bud- a pinky nude, my favorite, surprisingly since I love me some bold colors haha. This is a great choice for an everyday color. Reminds me a bit of Mac's Cream Cup!
*Orchid Ecstasy- a beautiful orchid shade, perfect for spring! Makes your lips look really luscious!

Bottom line: If you're looking for some lip colors that will brighten up your day and get you pumped for spring these are a great option. For someone who enjoys pastels you're bound to fall in love with the other colors in the line. If you're wanting something more wearable then I recommend these colors. The formula is very comfortable, not the most long wearing but for quick wash of color they're great! :-)

Review: Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara!

New From Maybelline!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
After using the L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara I thought I wouldn't find one I would enjoy equally as much (or more! haha) I've been trying out the NEW Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara for a few weeks now and I love it! It's about $6-$7 at your local drugstore which is an amazing price for how awesome this mascara is!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
The packaging is so cute too! I love the pearly pink color.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
The wand is perfection! It's a rubber bristle wand with a curvy shape which truly helps keep your lashes curled. The curvier side of the wand has longer bristles for adding length and the opposite side has shorter bristles which helps with adding volume. The formula is pretty wet compared to the Butterfly Mascara which I prefer because it coats your lashes easily and makes them look extremely black! Two coats is where I would draw the line before you get clump central haha. Once your done applying the mascara your lashes look so full, borderline false which I'm loving!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Here's what it looks like with two coats. I love that the wand makes coating your lashes from root to tip quick & simple!

Bottom line: If you're a fan of the L'Oreal Butterfly Mascara than definetely give this one a try! I love that it keeps my lashes curled the entire day and my lashes just look fuller and thicker... A+! Something to consider is that makeup remover wipes won't take this formula off, you need a good eye makeup remover but that speaks to the longevity of the mascara. Have you tried it? If so leave me your thoughts down below! :-)

Review: Maybelline Iridescent Shine Color Elixir in Enthralling Nude!

A Graceful Shimmer!

Maybelline Iridescent Shine Color Elixir in Enthralling Nude
When the new year comes I become the giddiest person alive because all you see at the drugstores are NEW products! That's when you have to have the will power to just pick and choose the ones worth trying (very difficult I must add!) This year I'm getting into glosses, it hasn't been my most reached for item before but all the new releases tempted me to try them! Maybelline has anaddition to their Elixir line with a bunch of pretty shades. I only picked up one *pats herself on the back* and it's amazing! They were $7.99 at my local Walgreens.
Maybelline Iridescent Shine Color Elixir in Enthralling Nude
These are called the Maybelline Iridescent Shine Color Elixirs and I have the color Enthralling Nude. Just a little background on my taste: I prefer opaque, colorful glosses. With that being said I wanted something different, more of a topper and this one is perfect! Now, the name says it's iridescent but honestly I didn't notice much of anything. The color is still really pretty, has a slight micro-shimmer but other than that it's no different from the original elixirs.
Maybelline Iridescent Shine Color Elixir in Enthralling Nude
Being a gloss it actually has pretty descent lasting power! Your lips stay shiny for a good 4-5 hours depending on what you're doing of course. It's such a comfortable formula, thick but not sticky! The packaging is just the same as the original line, sleek and utterly adorable!
Maybelline Iridescent Shine Color Elixir in Enthralling Nude
The wand makes the application so easy, I'm a huge fan of these tear drop wands!
Maybelline Iridescent Shine Color Elixir in Enthralling Nude
Here's what the color looks like! It's a lovely nude, leans more peachy and the shimmer adds a little something special to the gloss. I've used it alone and over lipsticks and trust me when I say it looks exceptional both ways!
Maybelline Iridescent Shine Color Elixir in Enthralling Nude
Here's what it looks like on! Kinda hard to get a picture but I did my best haha.

Bottom line: The Elixir formula is one of my favorites, so I highly recommend you give them a try if you haven't already! If you're expecting some cool duo chrome action from these, sadly it's not gonna happen, at least not with the nude shade haha. But it's still a beautiful color and when paired with a smokey eye even better! :-)

Review: Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation + Powder!

New Matte Line!

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation + Powder
Lots of drugstore brands are releasing their own rendition of matte products and it's quite exciting! I love a flawless, matte face but I've tried some so called "matte" foundations and they left my skin looking horrible. Maybelline released their Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation and Powder which are said to mattify and refine pores while still looking natural. Big claims, let's see if it held up! ;-) For reference these are both around $7 at the drugstore, pretty affordable.
Let's start with the foundation:
Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation + Powder
Back in the day I tried the original Fit Me formula but I wasn't a fan. It just never set so the foundation was very visible on my face so I ended up throwing it away. This formula is very different, kinda like opposites! I found my perfect match which is something this line is great at, the color selection is really great. I found that the formula is really quick to dry which means you have to work fast with it. I did half of my face first and then the other side just to make sure everything blended well.
My skin is normal to dry right now so it felt a bit drying when I first tried it. The second time I made sure to moisturize really well and use a primer and it felt amazing! The finish is no doubt matte and very shine controlling! I was very impressed with the lasting power too. I didn't touch up at all which is so not normal for me haha. I was also pretty surprised with how smooth my face looked. My pores weren't as visible as usual so I loved that too!  My only con is that it can look flat when you wear it so I had to bust out my highlighters to bring some life back to my face.
Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation + Powder
The Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Powder is something I don't consider a must have. If your skin is on the drier side I don't recommend it because it tends to emphasize the dry spots on your face, specially around your nose. I don't find that it provides extra coverage and the foundation dries so quickly that you don't really need to set it. I tend to anyways because of habit haha. I think this powder would work best for someone with oily skin. I can see it being really good for shine control but for someone with dry skin it just leaves your face feeling tight and looking dry. It's a pass for me.
Here's what it looks like on:
Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation + Powder
Bottom line: I really enjoyed the foundation! At first I was "ehh" about it but after giving it a few tries and making sure my skin was hydrated it looked really nice! It's a very long wearing and makes your face a shine free zone which is awesome. It's also pretty affordable! I would personally skip on the powder, it doesn't do much at all. If you've tried it make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts! :-)

Review: NEW Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks!

Creamiest Matte Lipsticks!

Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
Maybelline has my favorite lipstick formula from the drugstore! When I heard about the release of this Matte line I was really excited. Matte lips in the fall is a great trend but matte formulas can be tricky to perfect. I wanted to give these a shot and I must report that I really like them! There's 10 shades in the line and I ended up with five. I highly suggest to pick them up at Target or Walmart because they have the best prices, just $5.50 each!
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
This is the packaging they come in, cute matte purple! They have the same scent as the rest of the Color Sensational line which I don't mind. The shade range in the line covers all the basics from nudes to pinks to corals and berries, I was very impressed by that! The formula is so different from any other matte lipstick; it's irresistibly creamy but that can be a good thing and a bad thing. They glide on so smoothly on the lips but they don't set fully like other matte lipsticks. They are ridiculously comfortable to wear which is my major plus! They don't have any drying factor whatsoever but since they stay so creamy they tend to transfer easily. So make sure the check your teeth throughout the day because chances are lipstick will be there haha. Here are some swatches:
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
The colors are stunning! They are very flattering and that first one is on trend with that 90's lip that's going around! :-) Here are the lip swatches:
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
*Touch of Spice- a pink-brown, one of my favorite colors from the bunch! Perfect nude for the fall and very on trend!
*Lust For Blush-  a mauve-pink, great everyday color and very wearable.
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
*Ravishing Rose- a more blue toned pink, it's not super bright which makes it a bit more wearable but not the most flattering on me.
*Mesmerizing Magenta- a creamy magenta- pink, very beautiful! This one has some dimension to it compared to the rest, very unique!
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks
*Divine Wine- a deep burgundy, the ideal fall shade! This one makes your teeth look pearly white, love it!

Bottom line: This matte line is pretty good! I love that they don't dry out your lips at all. The color remains on your lips for a good 2-3 hours but not as intense compared to when you first apply. Maintenance is key to keep the color looking great throughout the day. I don't mind reapplying but if that is tedious for you than you might not like these. They do get the award for being the creamiest matte lipsticks I've tried so far! :-)
