Review: Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel Nail Polish! (Stay Classy & Under My Plum!)

New From Wet n Wild!

Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel Nail Polish
Before my love for makeup I had a hardcore obsession for nail polish! My husband thought I was crazy at first but then got so use to it that he made me a nail polish rack (haha so cute huh?) I'm not so into it nowadays but I saw this NEW display from Wet n Wild and I just had to try it! I haven't been active in the "gel game" but I do know that they are meant to last longer while looking like a new shiny penny. I picked out two colors and I've tried both so here are my thoughts! :-)

The packaging is so darn cute! It caught my eye immediately, looks so fancy, a lot more than just $5 each. The wand is about a medium size, great for getting an even application. I first wore Stay Classy which is a mauve nude color, so gorgeous btw! It went on fully opaque in one coat but I tend to put on two coats with any nail polish...just a habit haha. It dried decently fast, within 1 minute. I didn't use a base coat or top coat and my nails looked amazing! I was so impressed with the shine, even after 3-4 days they were super shiny!
I didn't notice chipping until day 6 and I kept it on for about 10 days. It was easy to remove, I used normal nail polish remover and at this point some just peeled off. Normal nail polish last no more than 4 days on me so I was very impressed but the longevity! Overall, these are a hit for me! :-)

I want more colors! I've fallen in love with this formula because there's no fuss with it. It dries quickly and lasts very well so that's all I need in a nail polish! :-)

Must Haves: Julie G Nail Polishes!

Great Formula!

Julie G Nail Polishes
Hello, my name is Reina and I'm a nail polish addict! haha now that we've established that I have a great post for you guys today. I finally decided to give the Julie G nail polishes a try after hearing so many wonderful things about them lately. I ordered mine from www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com, $3.99 each and they offer free shipping over $20 so really great prices! The bottle initially reminded me of Essie nail polishes which are a hit or miss for me. But these... are superb! The formula is on point and the color range is amazing. I'm so happy I gave these a try! :-)
Julie G Nail Polishes
These can be worn with just one coat which is what I love! I hate nail polishes that takes a lot of building up because they take forever to dry. These are opaque in one coat so on days that you're on the run these would be perfect. Another great thing about these is that they are long lasting. Normally my nails would chip in 2-3 days with other nail polishes but with these they last a week! I also noticed somewhat of hardening effect that I'm digging. My nails just feel stronger when I use these polishes!
Another great thing about the company itself is their customer service. Initially there was a mix up with my order where I ended up with a color I didn't order. I sent them an email and by the next day they had my nail polish in the mail, no questions asked! I was so impressed and happy! I work in the customer service industry and I get excited when other companies do everything they can to provide excellent customer service. Plus, I got to keep the extra color! ;-) haha.
Julie G Nail Polishes
Here are the colors that I purchased:
*Tahiti- a mint green with teal micro shimmers, on the nails the shimmers aren't noticeable.
*Old San Juan- a peachy coral with a cream finish, one of my favorites from the order! This color is dear to my heart because of the name (since I'm from Puerto Rico). This was the one that inspired my order! :-)
*Cabana Boy- a bright royal blue with a cream finish, another awesome color for the summer.
*Birthday Suit- a nude baby pink with a cream finish, can't wait to try this one!
*You-niverse- a duo chrome of bronze, blue and green... stunning! Most duo chromes don't translate well on the nails but this one was gorgeous on! Highly recommend this color! :-)
Julie G Nail Polishes
Bottom line- I'm loving these polishes, hopefully you can give them a try if you haven't yet! I haven't seen them at my local drugstores although I heard that some Rite Aids carry the Julie G line. Ordering online is still a great deal. The colors are unique and the formula is on point! Shipping is fairly quick too. I can't wait to order some other colors! :-)

Spot it & Buy it: Maybelline Bleached Neons Summer 2014 Collection!

Limited Edition Shades!

Maybelline Bleached Neons Summer 2014 Collection
Limited Edition collections are quickly becoming an obsession for me! As soon as I see those two words my mind automatically thinks "I NEED IT!" haha. But I've learned to be selective and to only purchase products that I know I will use. This time around I was more than excited to give these a try because out of all the products I've only tried the nail polishes before. The Elixirs and Glazes are completely new to me but I must say... I love them!
Let's start off with the nail polishes!
Maybelline Bleached Neons Summer 2014 Collection
All of these products were purchased at Walgreens. They had a BOGO deal going on when I purchased them so check out your local store to see if you can catch them on sale! Ok... back to the polishes. These retailed for about $4 each. They had a lot of shades too choose from but out of the bunch these three stood out to me the most. The formula is good, not the most long wearing but many of the shades are opaque in one coat! These chipped within 2-3 days but what I do enjoy is that it's easy to remove. They tend to chip in one piece so that's a plus = there's no fuss involved. The colors I purchased are:
*Ultra Violet- it's really bright lilac shade, super beautiful! It's opaque in one coat but out of habit I use two. I love how Maybelline incorporated pastel-like shades but made them into bold and vivid colors!
*Day Glow Teal- its a true bright teal blue shade. This color is also opaque in one coat and makes your hands look extra tan haha. So... I can see how it's perfect for the summer! ;-)
*Lime Accent- a bright yellow-green shade. I was disappointed with this shade because it was very sheer. Even with 3 coats it looked streaky so I don't recommend this one at all. I really loved the color but the formula wasn't comparable to the others.
Next up is the Maybelline Color Elixirs! (click on the image to enlarge!)
Maybelline Bleached Neons Summer 2014 Collection
OMG... I don't know why it took me so long to give these a try! These glosses are amazing! It's like a balm, lipstick and gloss all in one! These retailed for about $7 each and well worth it. They are smooth and moisturizing. They look amazing alone or as lipstick toppers. I'm completely in love! For being a gloss formula they are really long wearing. They last about 5 hours without having to touch up. Here are the two colors I chose:
Maybelline Bleached Neons Summer 2014 Collection
*Orange Aglow-  a true bright orange, looks amazing over coral lipsticks!
*Luxe in Lilac- a bright lilac, really beautiful!
The packaging is so petite and adorable, I really think that it contributes to my love for these haha. I heard that people had complaints about the scent, they smell sweet with a faint floral scent but nothing overpowering.
Last but not least is the Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze in Enchanting Apricot!
Maybelline Bleached Neons Summer 2014 Collection
I believe there were four limited edition shades from this line but this one was the only blush shade out of the bunch. The others were more of highlighters and bronzers but I didn't care for them so I skipped on those. Now... this blush retails for $8, the price is a little hefty for the amount of product you get but overall the shade is gorgeous! It's a highly pigmented coral-pink shade with a gold sheen that sorta reminds me of Nars Orgasm blush! So this would be an affordable alternative!

Bottom line: Overall this collection is a must have! It's up to you to determine the colors or products that intrigue you the most but I'm super ecstatic about the ones that I chose! I've worn the polishes many times already and the Elixirs are in rotation on a daily basis since I purchased them. The blush is also amazing and would look great on tan skin in the summer time. So make sure to visit your local drugstore while the line is available. It's limited edition so hunt it down! :-)
