Swatches: NYX Wicked Lippies!

Jewel-toned Lipsticks!

Swatches: NYX Wicked Lippies!
NYX has knocked it out of the park once again! They recently released a new collection of lipsticks called the "Wicked Lippies" and they are pretty out there. It's a line full of stunning metallic jewel tones, something I haven't seen done by a drugstore brand! It's pretty exciting because the other day I was lusting over the metallic shades Kat Von D released in the Studded Lipstick line but purchasing more than one gets really expensive super quick. Now I can get similar colors for only $6 each, such a great deal!
Swatches: NYX Wicked Lippies!
The line comes with a total of 12 gorgeous shades and I decided to test out three of them. The packaging is like they're matte line, just a glossy tube instead. The colors in this line are so unique! There's a few blues, purples... even a charcoal, yup very different! haha. I ordered mine directly from the NYX website but you should be able to find them at your local Ulta. The finishes vary within the line from pearl, shimmer, and metallic.
Swatches: NYX Wicked Lippies!
Here are some swatches! You can kinda see a difference in pigmentation. I did notice that the color payoff was different depending on the finish but it was workable.
Here are the lip swatches:
NYX Wicked Lippie in Betrayal
*Betrayal- a deep vampy purple with a  pearl finish, , my favorite! It's so stunning! I would rock this everyday if I could haha. This one doesn't have shimmer so it went so smooth and the pigmentation was great!
NYX Wicked Lippie in Power
*Power- a metallic rose with silver shimmer, the most wearable color from the entire line. I love the color and it feels really comfortable on even with the shimmers.
NYX Wicked Lippie in Envy
*Envy- a metallic royal blue with silver shimmer, this one was my least favorite. It ended up looking really patchy. The shimmers actually settled into the fine lines of my lips. This one would be a pass.

Bottom line: Two out the three I chose were amazing! Those are some great odds haha, makes me want to try out a few other colors. Betrayal is breathtaking, I just love it! The line is such a cool idea! Just remember that the formula isn't going to be longwearing, 2-3 hours at most. But for a night out I would rock them without a doubt. If you've tried some of the Wicked Lippies leave me a comment below with your favorites! :-)

Review: bh Cosmetics Studio Pro Brush Cleaner!

Keep Your Brushes Squeaky Clean!

bh Cosmetics Studio Pro Brush Cleaner
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say: I hate cleaning my brushes! haha. It's so time consuming and waiting for them to dry... just a long process that I tend to avoid.  As much as we all dislike doing it, it's definitely necessary to keep away bacteria and keeping a healthy complexion. I purchased the bh Studio Pro Makeup Brush Cleaner to incorporate into my daily routine to try to keep my brushes as clean as possible.
It's less than $10 on the bh cosmetics website which is a pretty great price! It's super easy to use, I just spray it directly on the brushes and wipe the product off on a paper towel. Instantly the brushes are super clean on the surface. Keep in mind, you still need to deep clean your brushes at least once a week so you can remove all the product build up.
It's great for keeping your eye brushes clean so you can dip them into different colors when needed. The one thing I did notice was that the brush hairs on some of my brushes began to shed. They felt slightly drier than usual so I held back on using it on those brushes so often. The rest were intact, for example my E.L.F brushes were good as new. Overall, it's a great product have at hand.

If you have a daily makeup brush cleaner that's affordable and gets the job done leave me a comment down below so I can give it a try! C'ya! :-)

Must Haves: E.L.F Essential Holiday Cheeky Glow Kit!

Drop Dead Gorgeous Blush!

E.L.F Essential Holiday Cheeky Glow Kit
Eyes Lips Face released a nice range of holiday kits and sets on their website and of course I had to test out a few... for research purposes haha ;-) They were actually having a 50% off sale so the prices were so good to pass up! Today I have the E.L.F Essential Holiday Cheeky Glow Kit to review for you guys. It retails for only $5 and because I caught it on sale it was only $2.50! After using it I wished I would've ordered a backup because that blush alone is breathtaking!
E.L.F Essential Holiday Cheeky Glow Kit
The kit includes a highlight, blush and bronzer in a cute compact palette. It's pretty sturdy, kinda reminds me in  away of the Sleek Blush Palettes. They're similar in the layout and such.

It also includes a blush brush which is not the best quality to be honest. The brush hairs are a bit scratchy like the brushes in the essential line. I could see it working in a pinch though so don't toss it haha.
E.L.F Essential Holiday Cheeky Glow Kit
The highlighter has a pink tone to it, not one I would reach for because it's a satin finish. I love my highlighters to be more on the shimmery side but it's a pretty color nonetheless. The bronzer is not too warm and not too orange, just a great in between shade! Plus... it's matte! It's really smooth and blends fairly easy. But you guys... I haven't seen such a stunning blush color in a while. This blush is like an apricot shade with a golden sheen, similar to Nars Orgasm but less pink. It has a unique duo chrome to it that leaves your cheeks looking amazing! Even if you don't care for the highlight or bronzer I would get this kit just for the blush, it's that good!

It's kinda difficult to capture the duo chrome on camera, these pics really doesn't do the blush justice. It's really pigmented by the way so make sure to use a lighter hand. Here's what they look like swatched:

Bottom line: This kit is a great value! I'm truly in love with the blush, kinda hoping E.L.F adds that color to their permanent line because I would repurchase it in a heartbeat. The bronzer is pretty good, the highlighter was the only thing that didn't really impress me. But the convenience of having all three products in a kit is awesome! For $5 you can't go wrong! :-)
