Swatches: NEW Milani Baked Blushes in Bella Bellini & Rosa Romantica!

NEW Milani Blushes!

Milani Baked Blushes in Bella Belllini & Rosa Romantica
While snooping through the Milani website I came across two NEW blush shades within their Baked Blush line! I was really excited because that line is one of my favorites from the drugstore. I wear Luminoso and Rose D'Oro all the time in the Spring & Summer! These retail for $8 each and are available on the Milani website, I haven't seen these in-store yet. The gold packaging gets me every single time... am I the only one? haha.

The first shade is called Bella Bellini which is described as a rose gold. I'd say its more of a peachy pink base with a golden shift...gorgeous! I wore this one with a light-hand in the picture below. It's really glowy and pigmented! The second shade is Rosa Romantica which is described as a light pink. It is really light which will still work for me, on darker skin it would be a pretty pink highlight.

Here are the swatches! These shades are really pretty! Milani, if you're reading this (haha) release more shades please.

Dupe Alert: Drugstore Version of Mac's Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose!

Favorite Dupe So Far!

Milani Baked Blush in Rose D' Oro
I've missed out on the release of Mac's Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose multiple times in the past! Everytime it launched with a collection I would tell myself "Buy it!!" but... $30... I couldn't bring myself to do it haha. Granted, I've splurged on higher end blushes in the past within the same price range but Stereo Rose seemed the most dupe-able. I first heard about the Milani Baked Blush in Rose D' Oro being a dupe on youtube and since then I've been hunting it down! I finally purchased it at my CVS for about $8 which is a fraction of the price of the Mac one! Skinfinishes cost $30, plus Stereo Rose is limited edition so once its gone its gone. I'm super excited about this dupe and the fact that its so accessible!
Milani Baked Blush in Rose D' Oro
Since I don't own Stereo Rose I did my research and compared swatches online, and let me tell you... it's pretty much identical! Milani describes the blush as a pink & gold shimmer which is completely true! It has a beautiful gold veining with a bronze-pink base that looks gorgeous on the cheeks. I fell in love instantly when I tried it and haven't been able to put it down since. Just like the rest of the Milani baked blushes the formula is amazing! It's longwearing, pigmented and even though it has shimmers it doesn't emphasize your pores.

The packaging is a 10! I love the gold packaging with the mirror underneath the product. Another great thing about Milani Baked Blushes is how unique they are, no two blushes are alike because of the veining. Here's a closeup:

Gorgeous! Here is the swatch:

The shimmer is noticeable but its not chunky glitters. On the cheeks it leaves a stunning glow, looks sunkissed! I've been pairing this blush with my Milani Baked Matte Bronzer in Sunset and it's the best combo!

Bottom line: I'm so in love with this blush! It's a must have and the quality is awesome, but what else do you expect from Milani? I'm looking forward to adding more of the baked blushes to my collection because the shades look so pretty! If you've been searching for Stereo Rose look no further, just pick up this blush because from the swatches I can't tell a difference. I'm sure Stereo Rose must be selling on ebay for $50+ but why pay anywhere near that if you can have this for less than $10! :-)

Review: NYX Baked Blushes!

Glowing Cheeks!

NYX Baked Blushes
Yes... more blush! haha but these are baked so I had to try them out! ;-) I'm a blush fanatic so I love purchasing different colors and finishes to add to my collection. The NYX Baked Blushes retail for $7 but I purchased them during a 30% off sale so it was the perfect time to try them out! There's a total of 12 colors in the line from lighter shades that can be used as highlighters and darker ones that serve as blushes. The color range is pretty nice too!
NYX Baked Blushes
When I first received these I was surprised by how tiny they were! For some reason I thought the packaging would be bulkier but they are very compact. Plus they have the cute little bow as a clasp, just adorable! The NYX site claims that these are baked to sheer perfection to provide a natural glow and I must agree! If you're expecting a really pigmented blush like the Milani Baked Blushes then these aren't for you. They give your cheeks a subtle color and luminous sheen that looks really pretty. Now, the site does say you can use these wet for a more intense color but I haven't tried them that way. I just recommend to apply these before your foundation fully sets so it has something to adhere to thus providing more color. Here are the swatches:
NYX Baked Blushes
*Journey- a soft pink, very muted but still provides that pretty glow!
*Foreplay- a brighter pink with gold shimmer, really pretty! It actually leans more coral on the cheeks.
*Ignite- a muted orange and my favorite from the bunch! Looks gorgeous on the cheeks and since its sheer it's fool proof to apply.

Bottom line: I think these blushes are great! When wearing these you can skip a highlight since they are baked so it's dual purpose product. They blend really well on the skin and the color is buildable but not as opaque as the Milani ones( but... sometimes you don't want a super pigmented blush!) The price point is great so overall I really like these! These would be perfect to wear when you go all out on your eye look because they don't compete with the rest of your look. If you've been wanting to give them a try I say go for it! :-)
