Need it Or Leave it: Essence Single Eyeshadow in Party All Night!

Favorite Single Eyeshadow!

Essence Single Eyeshadow in Party All Night
Have you ever had that one shadow that you just keep coming back to?!... Well Party All Night by Essence is the one for me! I'm always purchasing palettes and setting my single shadows aside so I made it my mission to start using my singles a little more. This one is now my absolute favorite. It looks amazing all over the lid but I love it even more as an inner corner highlight. It's nicely pigmented and feels so silky... just amazing. For only $2.49 you would be crazy to not give it a try!

I'm a sucker for a good metallic shadow. It's really all you need to sweep across your lid and go about your day. It makes you look like you spent some extra time on your makeup even though it took you seconds to apply! This color is so stunning! It's a like a caramel gold color... I don't even know how to describe it haha. You can tell that I use it a lot because my finger is printed on the shadow ;-)

Here's the swatch! I love how this color is perfect for brighten up any look. We all know how important it is to look awake even though you didn't sleep and this does the trick. I can't wait to try out more of the colors from this line because this one just really impressed me.

Bottom line: You need this shadow in you life! I can't imagine my collection without because it's such a versatile color. The pigmentation is amazing so no complaints there. Normally we think that affordable products might lack in quality but not in this case, this product is comparable to any of the pricier ones! I also enjoy the fact that you can wear the shadow wet or dry. On your next trip to Ulta make sure to pick this color up, you wont regret it! :-)

Need it Or Leave it: Buxom Full-Bodied Lip Gloss Collection- Nudes & Brights!

Great Collection Of Colors!

Buxom Full-Bodied Lip Gloss Collection- Nudes & Brights
Sephora released this Buxom lip gloss set recently and I knew immediately that I needed it in my life! I tried one Buxom gloss prior to owning this set and fell in love. So what better way to try out a bunch of colors right?! ;-)
This set retails for $32, while one full size Buxom gloss will set you back $19. So money wise it's worth it because you're getting a total of six beautiful shades to try out. I love the combination of nudes and brights! It compliments anyone and everyone! For the days you feel extra special you can wear one of the brights and on the days you just want to be a natural beauty you can wear the nudes. It's an amazing value!
Here's what the mini glosses look like compared to a full size Buxom gloss:
Buxom Full-Bodied Lip Gloss Collection- Nudes & Brights
Ugh... I wish the packaging wasn't so prone to fingerprints. It's definitely a pet peeve of mine haha but what can you do?!
On the Sephora site the glosses are described as sheer, shimmering lip colors but I must disagree! These gloss pack a punch, even the nudes. They are really creamy and full of color, exactly what I look for in a gloss! These aren't plumping like the Buxom Lip Creams, so if you're worried about having your lips tingle just know these won't do that. Here's a close up of the colors:

And here are the swatches:
Buxom Full-Bodied Lip Gloss Collection- Nudes & Brights
From left to right:
*Yes You- a creamy beige with gold micro shimmer, looks amazing over a nude lipstick like L'Oreal's Fairest Nude!
*Mwah- a mauve-nude with gold micro shimmer
*Dolly- a deeper mauve/pink with gold micro shimmer
Buxom Full-Bodied Lip Gloss Collection- Nudes & Brights
*Strut it- a fuchsia pink with silver micro shimmer... super pretty!
*Pucker Up- a violet pink with silver micro shimmer, perfect to go over "radiant orchid" lipsticks so you can be on trend!
*Cha Cha Cha- a bright coral-orange with silver micro shimmer. This one was more sheer than the rest and the shimmers are less visible.

Most of these colors are unique to the set and are not sold separately so when you have a chance head over to your Sephora and purchase it! This set is a must have if your a Buxom fan like myself. These glosses aren't sticky and don't have a strong scent. The shades are gorgeous and at the end of the day... you need it! ;-)

Need it Or Leave it: Makeup Geek Pigments!

Will Last You Forever!

Makeup Geek Pigments
Curiosity... such a powerful thing! ;-) I've seen and heard so many great reviews about the Makeup Geek products so I needed to try them out myself. The eyeshadows compare to Mac but at a much affordable price. Marlena, the owner, came up with so many beautiful colors that I just couldn't decide which ones to try! So... I opted for the pigments instead. The selection was still good but there was a lot less to choose from so it was a bit easier. I ordered two pigments... and I really like them! I'll go into detail about each one later on  in the post but lets talk about packaging first. I love how sleek it looks with simple black and white colors! It has a twist off cap and a plastic container... so really simple.
Now...my one and only con is that it doesn't have a sifter! You have to be extremely careful when opening the pigment because its overflowing with product that gets everywhere. I'm not complaining about how much you get, I just don't want to waste it by being clumsy! haha. Here is a picture of one of the pigments so you have an idea:
Makeup Geek Pigments
Makeup Geek is very generous! I'm not sure if they're adding sitfers on new orders, I purchased mine around the end of January. At the moment they're selling a pack of sifters (5 included!) for only $0.60 so not a bad deal! The sifters weren't available when I initially placed my order but I'm excited that they are now! The pigments retail for $6.99 each so its really a steal to higher end prices. You get so much product and on top of that they are amazingly pigmented... its a win/win! You can go to makeupgeek.com and see that most of the pigments are a dupe for Mac pigments and at a fraction of the price. I'll go ahead and include the swatches now:
Makeup Geek Pigments
From left to right:
*Nightlife- Light brown/taupe with shimmer
*Insomnia- Dark Brown duo-chrome with teal reflects
On the left is just one swipe of the pigment dry and on the right is the pigment when worn wet for a foiled look! I love these colors, especially Nightlife. It really brings out my brown eyes! There wasn't much fall out when I tried out nightlife. It stayed on all day over a base so I was very pleased! :-)

For the price you have to try them out! If I had to chose only one color out of the two it would be Nightlife since it's the most wearable of the two. When dry its perfect to add a little something to your everyday look and when wet it would look amazing on a night out. If you're more outgoing with your eye makeup there's a nice range of pigments to choose from on the Makeup Geek site. I love that they fill up each container to the rim, this will last you a long time. Just remember to purchase the sifters if you don't want a mess haha. Final verdict? Need! :-)
