Everyday Drugstore Makeup Look! (Using NEW Drugstore Products!)

Look For Less!

Everyday Drugstore Makeup Look!

I wanted to share with you my everyday look using only drugstore products! :-) All of these products are NEW at the drugstore and I'm been pretty much obsessed with them! Let's get into it!

Face

Primer- I used the Milani Prime Perfection Face Primer which is Hydrating + Pore Minimizing. It's so amazing and I definetely notice a difference when it comes to my pores. It makes my foundation look smoother and the hydration factor is a plus! It's $9.99 :-)
I also used the NYX First Base Primer Spray before the Milani primer just to prep and refresh my face a bit. I find that it helps with extending the wear of my makeup. This is $7.99!

Foundation- I've been loving the L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation for my everyday looks because it's so easy and quick to use! It's so skin like but brace yourself for the price... $16.99! Make sure you have a coupon for this one, haha.

Powder- If you haven't tried the Maybelline Face Studio Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder you are definetely missing out! It's so finely milled and sets your foundation into place. It also helps with the wear time! It's $9.99.

Eyes

Eye Primer- I used the bh Cosmetics Smooth Canvas  Long Wear Shadow Primer in Malt which is a great shade to neutralize the lid. It's a great formula and makes any shadow last! It's only $7.00 right now on bhcosmetics.com

Eyeshadow- I used the NEW Covergirl Roses TruNaked Eye Shadow Palette which is such a great drugstore palette! I own the entire collection but this one is my favorite. They shadows are buttery and it's only $11.99!

Mascara- I stuck with Covergirl and used the NEW Lashblast Plumpify Mascara! The wand is enormous but it gives me so much volume and holds a curl so well. Since I also wanted some length I used the Milani Length in Seconds Lash Extension Fibers which is also pretty amazing! The mascara is $11.99 and the fiber one is $8.99.

Lips
Last but not least I used the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color in Seduction. I love this formula! It's matte yet so moisturizing and super longwearing! This lippie is only $8.99!

Review: Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation!

It's Time To Shine... Literally!

Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation
I haven't been so torn about a makeup product... ever! haha. I've been testing out this NEW Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation for a few weeks now and here's the deal: I love it but then I find it so odd! There's specks of glitter throughout the foundation you guys... glitter which is so weird to me! The price is pretty steep too, about $15 at the drugstore. Revlon claims that the formula has a light-filtering technology that delivers a poreless, airbrushed look. It's meant to give you a soft focus effect, leaving your face looking luminous and flawless. I must agree with the claims!

Let's start off with the pros :-) The color match is spot on, the best match in a foundation for me thus far! The consistency is not liquidy nor thick, a nice in between which helps provide a solid medium coverage. From far away it looks stunning! My pores aren't as visible, my skin looks natural but everything that needs to be covered is covered! But then you take a closer look and all you see is glitter...everywhere! I pretty much looked like an extra from Twilight honestly. I screamed when I saw all the glitter haha. I had to go to work and I was so terrified that someone would see my sparkling face and ask me what went wrong. But surprisingly I got the sweetest compliments on my makeup that day!
Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation
Here's what the foundation looks like on, it's amazing what those glitters do because this foundation photographs flawlessly! The soft focus claim is definetely true, great foundation if you're in front of the camera a lot! But... for an ordinary gal like myself with an office job it's a bit out there haha.
Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation
I wanted to include a close up so you can see the glitters, mainly on my forehead. It's super noticeable up close.

Bottom line: I think this foundation is perfect for special occasions. If you have a wedding coming up or any event where you'll be photographed nonstop this would be your best friend! It looks amazing in pictures. But a sparkling face on the everyday basis is too much. Imagine wearing this foundation under the sun.. eeek! During this time of year for you drier skin girls it may work because it adds a luminous aspect to the skin but I just can't get past the glitter. Have you tried it? What are your thoughts? Leave me a comment down below! :-)

Review: Revlon Photoready Eye Art! (+ Swatches!)

New Spin On Eye Candy!

Revlon Photoready Eye Art
A few days ago I had a wonderful day spent with my family!! We ate, went shopping and watched a movie, loved every minute of it! I also thought it was the perfect time to put these Revlon Photoready Eye Art to the test (plus other products haha). Since I was gonna be out and about I wanted to give these a try and they held up so well! These are new to the drugstore, reminiscent to their nail polishes but no guys these are shadows/liners! ;-) They retail for about $8 depending on where you go which is totally worth it because they are amazing!
Revlon Photoready Eye Art
I have two shades,Topaz Twinkle and Burnished Bling. I wore Topaz Twinkle today for about 7 hours and I'm excited to report that there was no creasing WHAT SO EVER!  The shadow dries within a seconds to a powder finish which I love. The liner side is just as long wearing so these are the perfect combo! The liner goes on pretty opaque for being a glitter, you might need to go over the line twice but no more. It stays put and doesn't flake off at all. I'm truly impressed with these!
Revlon Photoready Eye Art
These are what the applicators look like. The shadow end is a doe foot applicator with flat sides. The liner side is a brush tip applicator, so easy to use! Here are the swatches:
Revlon Photoready Eye Art
*Topaz Twinkle- a pretty pewter color
*Burnished Bling- a bright copper/bronze shade, so gorgeous!

Bottom line: I LOVE these!! They are just so convenient and easy to use so definetely something I recommend. The shade range is pretty nice, a few bright colors but I gravitated towards these neutral ones and I can see myself using them frequently. The formula is so good, very long lasting! A little of each product goes a long way so these will last you a while too.  So impressed, give them a try! :-)

Review: Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains!

Gloss + Stains!

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains
Revlon is my go to brand for lippies from the drugstore so when these new Moisture Stains released I was super excited! I came across the display at CVS and they were $9.99 each... pretty pricey but understandable for a new release. They had many shades to choose from but they all seemed to be in the same color family. You'll find lots of reds, berries and pinks in this line for the most part. I purchased two shades (for now! haha) and here are my thoughts!
Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains
First off, the packaging is really different! When I think of these "gloss stains" I think of the Maybelline Elixirs and the L'Oreal Extraordinaire which have a more rounded packaging. These are sleek and squared off which makes it look more expensive than it really is! Here's what the applicator looks like:
Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains
The applicator provides a smooth application and some precision too. The formula is more of a pigmented gloss when you first apply it. It takes a few swipes to build up the color and to make sure it looks even but once its on it looks amazing! The glossy finish lasts about 3 hours without eating or drinking. Once the glossy finish diminishes you're left with a nice stain. Now... the stain is not going to be as bright as the tube but its definitely noticeable. Once you start reapplying you'll notice that you end up using less product each time since the stain acts more like a base. I was pleasantly surprised by these and I really like them! Here are the swatches:
Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains
*Barcelona Nights- a bright magenta, a gorgeous color!
*Parisian Passion- a deeper berry color. This one would look gorgeous during the fall/winter time. Kinda reminds me of a liquid form of Mac's Rebel!
Here are the lip swatches! This is with just one swipe around the lips so you can tell that it would take a few more swipes to build up the color. The formula is on the thinner side and non sticky so you won't have any issues trying to build up the color.
Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains
They are really moisturizing so the name fits them perfectly! Even when the gloss fades the stain doesn't leave my lips feeling dry so overall these are great! I couldn't find any claims on these, Revlon doesn't have any information up on their site yet. So based on my personal experience these are lovely. They kinda feel like a combination of the pigmentation of the L'Oreal Extraordinaires with the hydrating aspects of the Maybelline Elixirs.

Bottom line: As far as liquid stains go these are pretty good! I would recommend these if you're looking for a smooth pigmented gloss with decent staining capabilities. The price is kinda high for me though so I won't be purchasing anymore until they're on sale haha. I'm curious to try out some of the lighter shades for the summer time. I'll be keeping an eye on those! ;-)

Have you tried these yet? If so, what are your favorite colors? Leave a comment down below to see which one I should try next!

Review: Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm!

Matte Without Being Drying!

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm
Lip Balms are everywhere nowadays! I'm not complaining because these products are quickly becoming my favorite. I've tried so many lip balm/ stains but never one that claimed to be matte yet moisturizing. They claim to offer velvety color with balm-like moisture. I completely agree with how moisturizing they are. When I first applied them I didn't have to tug, on the contrary it was super smooth and a delight to apply. The color only took a few swipes to be as vibrant as the tube. Oh! speaking of the tube, I really like the packaging. I love how it represents what you get, it's matte just like the lip balm. As you may know, just like the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains these are a chubby crayon that don't require sharpening. I purchased mine at Walgreens for $8.99 each but I was able to get them on a BOGO sale.
They have 10 colors in the line. I only picked up two just to see how I would like them. I picked a more neutral color and the most unique color in my opinion. These have a peppermint smell and taste to them which I don't find overpowering. It's actually perfect for those moments when you don't have gum... surprisingly it actually helps with your breath! haha. I love how these do have a matte finish but don't settle into the fine lines on your lips or dry out throughout the day. Revlon definitely hit the mark on the formula. Now, there's also another type of balm called the Lacquered Balms but I didn't find any colors I liked. I prefer a cream finish and some of the lacquer balms had glitter in the them. I'll go ahead and show you some lip swatches and talk about the colors I chose.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm
From left to right:
*Sultry- It's a pink brown color. I think this color is great for everyday and will complement any eye look. I did a heavier application on my lips just to show the true color so it may look a bit cakey.
*Shameless- It's a medium purple color. I was so surprised to see a color like this in the drugstore. It's so bold and unique that I just had to have it. It did apply a bit uneven at first so you do need to go over it a bit to get the perfect color. It quickly reminded me of Mac Heroine. I'll have to test them out side by side soon to see if they're a match. This color is great for a night out, it's definitely for the daring!

Bottom line: I love the formula of these! I would recommend these if you're looking for something matte that is not drying. I wish I would've picked more brighter colors... maybe a pink or a red just to test them out. I like the ones I chose but they seem a bit dark than what I tend to go for. But other than that these are a great addition to anyone's makeup collection. Go ahead and give them a try! :-)
