One Brand Look: NYX Cosmetics!

Summer Look Using NYX!

One Brand Look: NYX Cosmetics

Today I'm sharing a look I created using all NYX products when it comes to my eyes, lips and cheeks! I'm sticking with my warm colored roots and wanted to share with you what I used because 1. NYX is so affordable! and 2. It's super accessible and who doesn't like that combo? ;-)

Starting with eyes:
I used the NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette in Warm Neutrals which is such a good palette! It retails for $18 and like me you can purchase it at Ulta or Ulta.com. The color selection is me in a palette and on days that I don't know what to do I pull this out and it never fails! I have a full review with swatches already on my blog, click here to check it out.

Now on to cheeks:
I used the NYX Ombre Blush in Strictly Chic ever so slightly. It's beautiful! It starts off as a light peach and ombres into a warm peachy shade. I went light handed, trying no to overpower the eyes. This blush is $10 which is great because of how versatile the product is.

Lastly on my lips:
If you haven't noticed I'm absolutely obsessed with the NYX Butter Lipsticks! They are such a good, comfortable formula with awesome color payoff and only $6 my friend! I wore the shade Snack Shack which is brown mauve shade, perfect for everyday wear. It complimented my eyes so well!

I'm gathering some more products for another One Brand Look so stay tuned for that! :-)

Swatches: NYX Fall Lip Colors! (Vampy Edition!)

Affordable Fall Lippies!

NYX Fall Lip Colors! (Vampy Edition!)
Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by :-) I wanted to post some swatches on some NYX lip colors that are perfect for fall. I thought it would be helpful since certain colors may seem scary in the tube but amazing on the lips! Oh, btw, if you're interested in swatches and a review on the blushes you see above check out that post by clicking here! Let's get started!
NYX Fall Lip Colors! (Vampy Edition!)
First off is the NYX Butter Lipstick in Licorice! I love the butter lipstick formula, it glides on so smooth and keeps your lips moisturized throughout the day. This color is so pretty and perfect for the fall and holiday season! It has enough berry tones to make it wearable for day and night and it just makes your lips look fab! It's only $6 at Ulta, Target or the NYX website!
NYX Fall Lip Colors! (Vampy Edition!)
Next up are the three NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams! The formula is different from the butter lipsticks because they dry matte which makes them very long wearing! These are perfect for long days of work or for a night out because you don't need to touch up frequently. There's a shade for everyone from the cherry red to the deepest burgundy, depending on how bold you're feeling! These are also only $6 each!
From left to right:
*Monte Carlo- a cranberry red, really pretty and the ideal holiday shade
*Copenhagen- a rich plum shade, super gorgeous and my favorite! So opaque and creamy!
*Transylvania- a deep violet-burgundy. I was so excited for this color but it went on a bit patchy compared to any of the soft matte lip creams I own. For a better outcome you need to apply one layer, let it dry and apply a second one to avoid the unevenness. Stunning color nonetheless!

Hope these swatches were helpful if you've been eyeing the NYX lippies! I love NYX and how affordable the products are... plus those soft mattes lip creams smell like frosting c'mon haha. If you have any recomendations for fall lip colors leave them down below. For a moment there I was favoriting the 90's lip trend but we all know I can't say no to a vampy lip! ;-)

Spot it & Buy it: Fall Makeup Trends! (Featuring NYX Cosmetics!)

Bring On The Berries!

NYX Cosmetics
Ladies and Gentlemen: Fall is just around the corner!! Wohooo!! Fall is my favorite season ever! I love the chilly breeze, my combat boots and a good ol' vampy lip! I just can't wait to play with bolder makeup. Even though I have some favorite products that I used last year I wanted to haul a few new affordable items to add to my collection. I was in the market for a dusty rose and burgundy blush and I found it on nyxcosmetics.com . I was able to get 25% off my order using the coupon code WELCOME25. So if you're wanting to spruce up your fall makeup looks make sure to stop by the NYX site because you'll find everything you need.  During my online shopping extravaganza I also found some amazing shades of the Soft Matte Lip Creams plus a deep burgundy Butter Lipstick. I love the formulas for both of these lip products and I can't wait to use these in the near future. All you need is some winged liner and you're good to go for rest of fall!
Stay tuned for some swatches and reviews on these products. If you have any fall favorites leave them down below. Ciao!<3

What Have I Repurchased?! - Lip Edition!

Favorite Lippies!

Spring Lip Colors!
Hey everyone! Welcome back! I have an exciting post today that I hope will be helpful for you guys. I love trying new things, specially lip products, because there's so many different colors, finishes, formulas, etc. I normally tend to purchase 1 or 2 colors of one brand and move on to the next. But I thought it would be informative ( and fun!) to include what products I've repurchased! These are my favorite lippies at the moment. They are such great formulas that I needed to go back for more! I have full reviews on each of the original colors that got me hooked so make sure to check them out for more information.  Lets begin! :-)

I repurchased two more colors of the NYX Butter Lipsticks because they are amazing! The formula feels really light and hydrating on the lips + they are really pigmented. I feel like when you use these lipsticks your lips look so juicy! They are a glossy finish which is wonderful. They have a nice range of colors too! These retail for $6 each but you can often catch them on a BOGO sale at Ulta. The colors I purchased this time around were:
Spring Lip Colors!
*Fireball- a deep coral, such a gorgeous color and perfect for spring/summer!
*Pops-  a mauve color, one of my favorites lipsticks for everyday wear. It pairs well with any eye look and its so easy to just throw it in your purse and go!

Next up is the NYC City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color! These by far are my favorite jumbo lip pencils! Every brand known to man has come out with their version but I love these so much that I went back for more colors. They are only $2.99 each and can be found at Walmart, Kmart and on beautyjoint.com. They smell incredible too! They are really pigmented and smooth on the lips. The lasting power is awesome so these are a must have! In my original review for these I purchased more deep colors for Winter but I decided to stock up on lighter, more spring/summer appropriate colors. Here are the ones I purchased:
Spring Lip Colors!
*Park Slope Peach- a nude peach color that is really pretty on. I'm not a huge fan of lighter nudes but this one looks great on because of those peachy tones.
*Canal St Coral- a bright coral with more orange tones. This one is my favorite because the color is gorgeous! I've been wearing this one non stop.
*Brooklyn Brown Stone- a neutral mauve color, another color that is perfect for on the go. You don't have to worry about maintenance with these because they stay on really well.
The names on these are also really cute! Make sure to give these a try!

Now last but not least is the NYC Expert Last Lipstick! I reviewed these recently and fell in love! They are only $1.99 and they glide on like a dream. I've purchased all the cream finishes they offer in the line. The rest of the colors are more of a frost finish which I stay away from. These are really pigmented and creamy. They tend to become a bit drying after a few hours but you can quickly fix that with some lip balm. Here are the colors:
Spring Lip Colors!
*Air Kiss- a deep magenta, really beautiful and right up my alley! I love these rich colors for a night out or during the day with minimal makeup.
*Smooch- a light pink, perfect pink for light-medium skin tones. It doesn't wash me out and it stays put. This reminds me of a Mac lipstick... maybe Cream Cup or Snob! So this would be an affordable alternative.

So there you have it! :-) These are the lippies that I've repurchased because they were overall outstanding. The formulas and color selection is great for all of these lines and I highly recommend them. While writing this post I realized that all of these products were from the drugstore and super affordable. It just played out that way which is great because it goes to show that there are some hidden gems out there. If you're loving any of these as well or have some other lippies to recommend leave a comment down below!

Review: NYX Butter Lipsticks!

Smooth Delights!

NYX Butter Lipsticks
You guys know I'm in love with the NYX Butter Glosses (check out that review!) so I just had to try the NYX Butter Lipsticks! The glosses are amazing so I kinda purchased these with high expectations. The line has 22 shades ranging from nudes to brighter colors (my favorite!). Based on other reviews it was clear that the lighter shades weren't the best. They seem to be inconsistent in pigmentation and application so I stayed away from those. I love the colors that I chose, I didn't have any problems with them and they look beautiful on. These cost $6 each and can be found on Nyxcosmetics.com or Ulta.com.
NYX Butter Lipsticks

So there's a lot of things that make these lipsticks amazing. First off the packaging is super cute! The color of the tube is exactly what you get. I love how bright and festive they look, it's just something that you want to take with you everyday haha. Another great thing about these is that they are ridiculously smooth! Just like the name, they feel like butter. The pigmentation is awesome and formula of these just makes your lips look juicy... and who wouldn't want that?! I also enjoy the way the lipstick is shaped. It looks like any other lipstick but the point makes it so easy to fill in the shape of your lip perfectly without bleeding out the lines.  Here are some lip swatches and I'll go ahead and list the names below.

NYX Butter Lipsticks

From left to right:
*Sweet Tart- Medium pink, perfect for spring!
*Razzle- Bright Fuchsia
*Hunk- Berry violet, perfect for transitioning from winter to spring!
*Mary Janes- True red

Bottom line: I love these lipstick and would definitely recommend them! They are very moisturizing and have wonderful color payoff. My only complaint is that they don't have a smell. One of the things I loved about the Butter Glosses was the frosting cupcake smell but these don't have that. I was a little bummed but it's not a deal breaker. I personally would recommend the brighter, more vibrant colors because the lighter nudes didn't get the best reviews. Try them out, you will love them! :-)
