Review: Covergirl Plumpify blastPro by Lashblast Mascara!

New From the Drugstore!

Covergirl Plumpify blastPro by Lashblast Mascara
I was in need of a new mascara and the Covergirl Plumpify Mascara caught me attention... I mean look at that massive wand! haha. I was so intrigued but it retails for $12 which made me think twice about it. I managed to catch it on sale for $8 and bit the bullet then. So far I've been loving it! I know it looks scary but just like the mascara claims it adds tons of volume and separation which I'm so into! :-)

Here is the packaging, my favorite color combo so I'd say it's meant to be! ;-) The wand is so big and had a spikey top which is what scared me... I honestly thought it would poke my eye out. I'm glad to report that the size was just fine! Application was so easy and that spikey top was awesome for coating my bottom lashes. The formula layers so well too so you can definitely control the volume! It doesn't clump on me and it holds my curl all day. I like to pair it with the Maybelline Pushup Drama Mascara because I love how black that one is. I find this one not to be as deep as I like so the two together is perfection!

Here's what one coat of the Covergirl Plumpify Mascara looks like:

Bottom line: I love this mascara! I've always stuck with Maybelline when it comes to drugstore mascara but this Covergirl one is amazing! I wish it was it was a deeper black, I do have very black... maybe there's a deeper one? IDK, but what I do know is that I highly recommend this mascara! :-)

Review: Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel Nail Polish! (Stay Classy & Under My Plum!)

New From Wet n Wild!

Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel Nail Polish
Before my love for makeup I had a hardcore obsession for nail polish! My husband thought I was crazy at first but then got so use to it that he made me a nail polish rack (haha so cute huh?) I'm not so into it nowadays but I saw this NEW display from Wet n Wild and I just had to try it! I haven't been active in the "gel game" but I do know that they are meant to last longer while looking like a new shiny penny. I picked out two colors and I've tried both so here are my thoughts! :-)
Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel Nail Polish
The packaging is so darn cute! It caught my eye immediately, looks so fancy, a lot more than just $5 each. The wand is about a medium size, great for getting an even application. I first wore Stay Classy which is a mauve nude color, so gorgeous btw! It went on fully opaque in one coat but I tend to put on two coats with any nail polish...just a habit haha. It dried decently fast, within 1 minute. I didn't use a base coat or top coat and my nails looked amazing! I was so impressed with the shine, even after 3-4 days they were super shiny!
I didn't notice chipping until day 6 and I kept it on for about 10 days. It was easy to remove, I used normal nail polish remover and at this point some just peeled off. Normal nail polish last no more than 4 days on me so I was very impressed but the longevity! Overall, these are a hit for me! :-)

I want more colors! I've fallen in love with this formula because there's no fuss with it. It dries quickly and lasts very well so that's all I need in a nail polish! :-)

Best of E.L.F Cosmetics! (Review + Swatches!)

My Top 3!

Best of E.L.F Cosmetics
E.L.F is one of my favorite brands! There's so many things to try without breaking the bank and overtime I've fallen in love with their products, enough to earn a permanent spot in my makeup routine! :-)
Today I have my top three E.L.F products to share with you. This is what I was loving all throughout 2015 and carrying over to now!
Best of E.L.F Cosmetics
First off we have the E.L.F Baked Eyeshadow in Burnt Plum. Any of the baked shadows are amazing but my favorite is Burnt Plum! It makes a beautiful one shadow look since it can be worn wet or dry. You get tons of product and the baked formula is awesome!

Along the lines of baked products we have the E.L.F Baked Blush in Rich Rose. I loooooove this color! I'm surprised I still have so much left because this is a go to color for me. The veining turns this color into a warm peach-rose shade, so unique and beautiful when you wear it with a warm eyeshadow look! It's a great year round color.

Last but definetely not least is the E.L.F Contour Palette! <--------- You NEED this! This has to be my most favorite E.L.F purchase ever. I use it everyday, mainly for the banana powder to set my concealer. The highlight shade is alright so I don't get much use from that one. But the contour and bronzer shades are also amazing! The formula is very smooth and so easy to blend and for only $6... this is a steal!

Here is a swatch of the eyeshadow and blush! :-)

Hope this post was helpful if you've been wanting to try E.L.F and don't know where to start! I highly recommend these products and you can't go wrong because they are affordable but also great quality! :-)

Must Haves: Milani Everyday Eyes Powder Eyeshadow Collections! (Review, Swatches + Look!)

Amazing Drugstore Palettes!

Milani Everyday Eyes Powder Eyeshadow Collections
Milani =  my obsession right now! :-D
While I was strolling through my local Walgreens I found a brand new Milani display filled with a few different palettes from their Everyday Eyes Powder Eyeshadow Collection! My first instinct was to purchase them all....but I then snapped out of it and came home with two! haha. These were $9.99 each and there a few different ones to choose from, more online. I've tried both and I have some looks to share with you so lets get started!
Milani Everyday Eyes Powder Eyeshadow Collections
First off I have "Bare Necessities" which is your typical nude palette. The matte shades are really smooth and blendable. The shimmer/metallic shades are a bit crumbly so I made sure my brush was damp so I can pick up color better. The colors in this one weren't anything out of this world but if you're someone who's looking for a great everyday palette this would be a great choice! It comes with a dual ended brush which isn't' bad at all and a diagram on the back showing you where to place the colors. Here's the look I came up with using this palette:

My favorite of the two is "Earthy Elements"! I love that pop of orange, the bronze tones... it's everything! The two matte shades are wonderful, very impressive! The shimmer shades are also great, this one is a must have. The only shade that wasn't as great is the first one. It's not really pigmented compared to the others. But these oranges are on trend due to the Morphe 35O palette so if you're looking for something similar this will do the trick!

I love how vibrant the shades are!  Here's a look using the palette!

I was really feeling my makeup that day haha.

Bottom line: I'm loving this collection! From what I saw in the display and online they have something for everyone. Not to mention it comes in the cutest packaging! I think $10 is very reasonable for a great formula. Two thumbs up! :-)

Review: L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Contour & Highlight Palette in Light!

NEW Contour Palette!

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Contour & Highlight Palette in Light
Contour has landed at the drugstore, aside from NYX of course! ;-) I found the L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Contour & Highlight Palette at my local Walgreens and guys... it was pricey! It was within the $12-$15 range which is crazy for a powder duo and a brush that I will never use. I gave it a shot anyway and here are my thoughts! :-)

I have the shade light and I was super impressed by the contour shade! It adds the perfect shadow to the hollow of my cheeks, very blendable! Now... the highlight shade not so much. It's not a brightening shade on my skintone so I can't really use it to set my concealer. It's not a shimmery powder neither so I can't really highlight with it. On the back of the palette there's a diagram showing you where to place it (forehead, nose, chin and cheeks) but it honestly did nothing for me.
L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Contour & Highlight Palette in Light
Here are the swatches! The palette comes with a brush shown above that is awful. It's meant to help you highlight and contour at the same time but it just doesn't work for me.

Bottom line: Almost $15 and I only like one side of it? It's not worth it. I like the contour powder but I have other palettes I prefer over this one. I think they could've left out the brush and just added something else, a banana powder or even an actual highlight. This is a pass for me my friends! :-)

Review: bh Cosmetics Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette!

Affordable & Amazing!

bh Cosmetics Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette
bh Cosmetics has the best collaborations! From ItsJudyTime to Missy Lynn and now Carli Bybel! I love the creative process that goes into someone personalizing a palette or lipstick + it being super affordable for the everyday consumer is pretty cool too! I've watched Carli Bybel for a while now and I remember her using bh Cosmetics products from the get go so it's awesome to see her release her own palette. I was iffy at first, I thought it would be another neutral palette but after giving it a try I truly love it!
It retails for $20 but bh Cosmetics has many incredible sales so I managed to get it for only $12.50! Think about it: $12.50 for 14 shadows and 4 highlighters? That's a steal!
bh Cosmetics Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette
The shadows are very nicely pigmented and what I love the most is how easily they blend out. The quality is pretty great and I find the color selection to be suitable for anyone. The only thing I would change is the darker brown color. It takes a lot of building up to smoke out a look. Other than that the palette is fab! I personally use all the pans as shadows including the "highlighters". The first one will work as a highlight for sure but the other three are too deep for my skintone. Here are the swatches:

Here's a look I came up with using the first highlighter on the lid and both purple-mauve tones in the crease!

PS: It's a good day when your husband compliments your makeup, specially your eye look! :-) haha.

Bottom line: This is a great palette and an even better value! The colors mesh so well together and I love how easy to blend they are. There's so many palettes that I've tried where colors just blend away these shadows stay vibrant and over primer the look will stay put all day. I'm happy that I have it and I highly recommend it! :-)
